I know some of it is his own making, but for a guy who is pretty much responsible for that 5th banner hanging in Assembly Hall, Steve gets crapped on a bit too much by the press and the fanbase...

No other great at any school get as much disrespect as he gets from us

In a way, Smith's transfer is really good for IU's minutes distribution. Even still, IU has too many players to accommodate. 11 guys is 1-2 too many when you are thinking about rotation.

I still expect Indiana to redshirt one of the freshman. I have a pretty good idea who I think that will be. But, it definitely isn't important on an early May Saturday. There's a little under 6 months until they need to make that decision.

My personal belief is that Indiana is not short-handed. I can't think of a position or spot where they could use another guy. I suppose in the 3/4 hybrid spots but you'll see more three guards, you'll see Race get an uptick in minutes to accommodate Trayce and there's a real, real opening for Hunter and Geronimo to grab Justin's vacated minutes (which was a lot, as he led the team in minutes played and minutes per game average).

So, I think Archie is more than happy with the 11 he has. After next season they'll lose Durham, Brunk and Trayce. So he'll be down to 8 but you know he's got Duncomb and hopefully 2-3 more. That puts them around the 11-12 again in terms of number.

We just gotta rely on Race staying healthy for the whole season

He should meet with Sherron Wilkerson.  Wilkerson can be a tremendous mentor and help him avoid major mistakes.  A bad attitude can be a career killer.

I would love for Sherron to be the new head coach at Jeff but that sounds too good of a idea....Jeff has made some silly decisions and I know of a lot talent that's coming through Jeffersonville and almost all of them are talking about going somewhere else when they get to high school...hopefully stuff changes and hiring Sherron would help in my opinion

This one is interesting. Locally, the word was his Uncle (who I “think” is his guardian) said he cannot get below a B, or else no basketball. Rumor was he got a C and therefore, no basketball until that grade was brought up. Sounds good, right?  Everyone said, “wow, good for his Uncle for stressing academics!”

Only problem with this is, he was shown having workouts in Bloomington (presumably with the Bloomington South team) during the time he was being disciplined for grades. So then, everyone started questioning, “He can’t play with his local school team due to grades, but it makes sense for him to be allowed to drive almost 2 hours to play and workout with a different team?”

    Something doesn’t quite add up.

His uncle is a quite the character....I have a few friends who has worked with Loving Watts and all of them tell me that he has a terrible attitude...I watched Jeff vs Lawrence North early in the season and he looked like the best player on the court...very talented and hopefully him going to Bloomington South will get his head on straight....
