Agreed whole heartedly. I just think with the booster support he has it will be impossible to sell him being fired no matter how bad it gets or how bad he tears the program down. You can’t continue to build a team year after year with no hs players coming in. I’m baffled the money boosters behind this support don’t see how terrible this philosophy is for IUBB long term. Woodson is simply old, lazy, and arrogant. He doesn’t think he needs to put the work in because he has assistants for that and because he’s Mike Woodson 🙄 I hope when he finally does leave there’s a coach in waiting that’s worth a damn to come fix this mess he’s going to leave us with. But my faith in our admin to finally make the right hire is a 0 at this point.

This is 100% where I’m at. I just don’t think they really want to fire an IU legend. This was the year to do it. I think he plays out his contract if he chooses to unless next year is completely worse. Maybe we can force retirement but I think he is too stubborn and arrogant to be forced into anything at this point…

My daughter is on the OSU dance team and is assigned the NIT games. She was texting to ask if we watched because it was close (and to see if we saw her on tv 🙄). I only caught the end but was surprised it was that tight.

It’s disgusting that he’s making 4 million and doesn’t want or think he needs to put effort into recruiting. As evidenced that he hasn’t gotten out to look at Indiana hs players or kept into contact with our one and only former recruit. The situation is so frustrating however I believe it will be difficult for Dolson to fire him even next year. He carries himself as he’s above putting in the work anyway simply because he’s Mike Woodson 🙄 I have no hope we will ever see this program come back to any sort of competitive level again. Sad, sad state of affairs…

Such a sleeping giant with a loyal fan base that is just hungry for a good brand of basketball. The apathy is real. I haven’t been excited about IU basketball in years. We just can’t get out of our own way, off the high and mighty horse to make a good hire to get us there. I’ve resigned myself that the crean years may be as good as it gets before I’m dead (50 so I hope I’m not close to death).

Could we be so lucky not to watch him next year??

Who is going to want to come as a shooter in THIS offense? Maybe if you pay someone enough I guess but even then this offense is trash.

We are all suppose to be sheep and follow the herd. Nobody should question the product on the floor. He’s doing a bang up job the 3rd time around playing the same team with the same game plan and same results. 4.2 million…for stellar on court play and results.

At this rate there won’t be any reason to watch what Woodson puts on the floor next season.

I’ll be watching them in the NCAAs. I’ve always liked Hoiberg. Outcoached, outplayed.

Let’s hope Malik is better tonight because last night he was a hindrance on the floor. Feed Ware and taco often, knock down some 3s to keep the D honest, and defend/rebound. Let’s survive and advance tonight…
