  1. He’s a better athlete than the shooters that came before him at Purdue (Cline, Mathias, Loyer, etc)
  2. Would have liked to have landed him but understand why he chose NW.
  3. If I was a betting man, I’d do the same lol. I think next week will be particularly ugly. Bielema will want to run it up with lingering bad blood plus we beat them last year. Take Illinois and the points and double down at half.
  4. All I have to look forward to at this point is who we hire next. Cig is proving how quickly things can change so I have faith.
  5. Recency bias for sure. Purdue alone has had worse teams than this and they’re a .500 program historically. There are absolutely worse teams. But this team sucks.
  6. Firing a coach after 2 years is the most un-Purdue thing to do but they may not have a choice. In the current landscape, you can’t risk completely losing such a good fanbase that shows up so well even when there aren’t many reasons to.
  7. The one where they dropped 8 and somehow let a receiver get behind them? Lol
  8. I mean the offensive play calling has been decent. Shows how bad Harrell was that a guy with minimal experience immediately made it better.
  9. We’re bad but that’s a bit hyperbolic lol. Hazell teams were worse and IU has had worse teams.
  10. I think it’s just the first time in a few years with some question marks. I think a lot depends on the jumps Colvin and Heide make and how well the newcomers fit in. I think only 2 of the freshmen will redshirt so plenty of young guys will play. I think TKR is going to have a big year too. The ceiling is debatable but the floor is pretty damn high IMO.
  11. I agree that probably wouldn’t win it but look at Tyler Kolek when he won BEPOY 2 years ago. He had better stats last year but didn’t run it 12.9/4.1/7.5/47.1/39.8 Every year is different of course but I don’t think it’s crazy to see Braden’s PPG to go up a bit. Rebounds could see a drop and same with FG%/3P%. I don’t think assists will change much. He very well could have a good season but not win BTPOY. But there’s not a great preseason argument for any other player to be picked instead of him.
  12. No doubt. I’ve seen several comments questioning Smith as the POTY because of Edey being gone. Obviously it’ll be an adjustment/more difficult for him but based on what he did last year and who came back, I don’t think ppl can make a solid case for anyone over him. With that said, I wouldn’t be surprised at all if he didn’t actually win it.
