It is called being realistic and no way any coaches like Wright, Bennett, Few, Self, Calapari, Izzo are coming to IU and leaving what they have now. College basketball is just a different game now than it was 30 years ago. Recruiting is done more nationally now than it was back then and you saw less teams coming into the state to take recruits. All we had to do was recruit 3 states and have a dominant team but that is harder to do today. Players are on TV every game no matter where you go today so your family can see you no matter where you are playing. More teams pay their coaches more today so they don't feel the need to keep changing jobs to get to the top of the Ladder. Social media has changed the game so much and now fans have way to much assess to the players and coaches. To me this gives coaches more of a reason to stay where they are already on the good side of the fan base.

That you think a guy like Wright would seriously look at IU. People outside of Indiana didn't grow up watching IU like we did and they don't hold IU in the same way we do. To actually think Wright would even talk to IU after winning two championships is what I found funny.

He is already a legend and HOF coach. I think it is time for us IU fans to realize that there are a lot of other places that coaches can win at and don't need to coach at a place like IU to reach their goals.

What reason would he come here because he has won championships at Villanova. Why come to the Midwest where he has not ties for recruiting. Why come to a conference that he would have a harder time winning.

He is a East coast guy and the only place he would go if he left Villanova is the NBA
