  1. I remember that when this virus first started I was one that was not to worried about it and thought everything was being blown out of proportion. Now going through it and seeing how bad it is, I was so wrong. All I was worried about was losing the tournament and not looking at the big picture. My problem when I recover and ready to go back to work is that I will have to go through training with my new company. My department was taken over by another company but I stayed on to get all of my work caught up before moving to the new company. With the lock down it will be hard to be able to in and train.
  2. I would bet that the Colts won't be picking t 34 because I see them trading down to around 39 or 40 and picking up another 3rd round pick. I would like to see a WR like Higgans from Clemson or Pitman form USC and the other pick being a OT or RB. RB is not really a huge need but there are a lot of top RB;s still on the board so go BPA
  3. The problem is that you might think you are healthy and not realize you are infected. Also when you go out in public you have to worry about everyone you come in contact with. If people would do what has been asked of them this wouldn't have spread like it has.
  4. Gronk coming out of retirement and been traded to TB
  5. Doing alright but today has been the worse I have felt.
  6. I tested on Wednesday afternoon and got my results Saturday morning
  7. No I am not in great shape but have not had any medicals condition either
  8. Thank you, my mom and dad moved in with my brothers house because I have to be quarantined for 7 days. They are in their late 70's and can't around this because it could kill them.
  9. I would call and see about getting tested

  11. Just wanted everyone to know that I have tested positive for the virus. Have not really been really sick or had that many symptoms. I had a low grade fever and some congestion but felt pretty good. Main reason I wanted to go to the doctor and get tested was my elderly parents lives with me. Just wanted people to know that you can have this without being sick. Even the doctor was not even going to test me since my symptoms was not that bad.
  12. He can hit 3's just did not shoot many with him hitting 3-7
  13. Did not say it didn't but some has said shooting is at a all time high which to me it isn't. I still think shooting is down because of the shot clock being at 30 seconds and we see way to many contested shots at the end of the shot clock. A lot of peoples perception of the game before the shot clock was that most teams just held the ball and scoring was lower but that is not the case. To me the pace of the game was higher and the flow of the game was better because teams for the most part would take good open shots.
  14. Scoring is up in the NBA but for the college game it is down. I am just talking about the college game because that is where my interest lies and to me shooting is way down. I have no looked at the stats but just form all the games I have watched this year shooting was terrible.
  15. It is funny that this discussion we are having about the direction of basketball was the same discussion that was on Coyle and Leary the other day. Pat graham was on there and they started talking about this same subject and Graham said he really hates the direction the game is going. Even though he is in coaching he said the game is just not as enjoyable to him than it use to be and the main reason was these same things we have been talking about. He hates that the mid range game is being taken out of the game and the over use of analytics is out of control.
  16. That still doesn't mean that is a good thing and good for the game
  17. I don't remember anyone saying they should not develop a outside shot but just don't want them to rely on that shot to much. I just don't like it when coaches try to worry about the players draft status where guys only want to show off their outside shot.
  18. One thing I noticed watching Duncomb highlights is that he does use his left hand quit well. I think this off season that TJD really needs to learn to use his right hand around the basket. TJD also needs to find a shot from 12-15 feet and make it a big part of his game.
  19. I guess my main complaint with how the game is played today is the lack of diversity in the game. I hate that half the game has totally been taken away from the game and to me it is not for the better. When I played all I was a really good outside shooter but the rest of my game was average at best and in the long run that was my downfall. I love seeing great outside shooting as much as anyone but I just think the game relies on the 3 to much now. I just hate seeing way to many bad contested shots at the end of the shot clock we do today. With all of this free time and watching old games it was great seeing teams waiting to take great shots most of the time. Did teams take bad shots, yes but it was by choice and not because the shot clock was running down.
  20. This is why I think we should just play TJD in the post and surround him by more perimeter players. Until Race and Smith shows that they can hit the outside shot I would rather see us go smaller.
  21. I guess we will just have to agree to disagree on what we think efficient is. To me the best shot is an open shot and I don't care if it is from 1,5,10,15 or 20 feet. To me what has killed offense in college basketball is going to 30 second shot clock because it does not give you time to run an offense. It does not allow time to move the defense side to side. I also think going to more dribbling in the half court and the micro managing that coaches do today hurts the offense. Also they need to start the offense right away but it seems like we see to many teams do the weave for 15 seconds before getting into their offense. For me the object of the game is to put the ball in the basket and today's basketball just don't see that as much as we use to. I would rather see a player who is reliable like Cheaney or Henderson shooting those 15-17 shots over players who can barely hit 35 % from 3
  22. I know you think things are more efficient today but why is shooting down and why is scoring down. To me when you say more efficient it should mean you are shooting better and scoring at a higher rate.
  23. Any shot that goes in is a good shot, still show me how using these analytics has helped scoring because it hasn't
  24. Yes it is efficient if you hit those shots like a Henderson, Anderson and Cheaney and those team scored a lot more than we see in college basketball today. If it is so much more efficient then why is scoring down all over college basketball compared to what it was when the shot clock was at 45 seconds. The 81 team without the shot clock and the 3 was still able to score a lot more tan what we see today because they took good shots and for the most part were open shots. The last time basketball was about getting the ball in the basket and it shouldn't matter what kind of shot that is. As for your layups, it is easier if it is a wide open layup but today when the defense knows you are driving it is not a open layup and usually have 2 or 3 guys there at the basket to contest the shot so yes the 12-15 wide open shot is easier.
