  1. It appears that Carmelo has played his last game in Houston because it appears he is unhappy with his playing situation.
  2. but you are not allowed to advance the ball without a pass or a dribble. So if someone passes the ball inbounds to me and I bobble it all the way up the court you are telling me that is illegal. I guess back when I played we did not know what the actual rules of basketball was because this use to be a travel.
  3. So with that logic you could go full court juggling the ball then go in for a layup. When I played you couldn't juggle the ball and take a couple of steps because in basketball that is traveling.
  4. What I hate is the NBA has different set of rules than the rest of basketball has. In any other level of basketball if you juggle the ball down the court 3 or 4 steps it will be a travel. Last night a Rocket player juggle the ball 3 or 4 steps but no call and the stupid ref was motioning the juggle call which really makes me upset.
  5. I am more about the team than the individual and the NBA is more worried about promoting the individual over the team. I was watching the Pacers vs the Bulls but the NBA was promoting it as MJ against Reggie.
  6. Actually that is one thing that I don't like about the NBA is it is about the individual and not the team.
  7. Football is so much different than the NBA when it comes to marketing. Also a lot of players feel like there is not much to do in Indy compared to a bigger market as well.
  8. Yet when the pacers are playing well it is when they have a balance attack with 6-8 players scoring in double figures. It was like MJ before Pippen and Grant came along he would score 63 and still lose in the playoffs to Boston.
  9. I know he was only a freshman but he did nothing at UT and watched hi score two points against Butler in their first round loss.
  10. After this season the Pacers have 8 guys who will be free agents so they have a lot of money to spend. the problem with that is getting free agents to want to come to play in Indianapolis. It is a great city and the facilities are top notch but free agents want to be able to market themselves and Indy is not that place.
  11. Give you Turner and Collison for Rozier and Brown
  12. To me the Pacers needs to get one more star player in their starting lineup to get to the next level. I would love to be able to get Kawhi to the Pacers but we all know that will never happen and to me Jimmy Butler is to much of a head case. Going forward if we have 1B to VO 1A and Sabonis as our 3rd best player we would be a legitimate contender. To me it was a big mistake to sign Turner to such a huge deal because he is not a great player and it will be hard to trade his contract.
  13. The Pacers shot way to many 3's last night with VO going 4-14, Early in the 3rd quarter the Pacers got a 5 or 6 point lead and then they shot like 8 3's in 10 possessions and missed all 8 and that allowed Philly to stay in the game. To me when the Pacers are playing well it is when they have great ball movement and players are moving. It seems like VO is trying to do to much on his own and not getting others involved. To me Philly is not that great of a team and was coming in 0-5 on the road and to lose this game at home is terrible.
  14. I couldn't care less how effective it is but it is boring to watch. I am sorry if I enjoy watching player and ball movement how basketball is meant to be played.
  15. Pacers lost this game because of their free throw shooting and those 3 or 4 horrible calls especially the two fouls on VO against Harden. Houston looks awful and they are so boring to watch with their pick and roll offense and Harden dribbling out the shot clock. Also they rely on the 3 way to much and you saw that in game 7 of the conference finals.
  16. I know it changes but everyone acts like they just invented basketball a couple of years ago and any style of play that is different is some way is not the correct way to play. Everyone says that shooting 2's is not efficient yet a team that hit 19 3's found a way to lose.
  17. Funny that Boston hit 19 3's and still lost. I like seeing good shooters but to me it is not basketball I really enjoy when an NBA team shots around 50 3's.
  18. Great game and got home to see the last 3 quarters. Went to see my son at ISU for family day and spent a good day there but had to leave early because my son bought tickets to the Pacer game tonight for him and his girlfriend. I guess now that he has a girlfriend now that I don't get asked to go to games with him any longer. We were suppose to go to the ISU game today but at the last minute we decided to just spend time roaming the campus because it was the first time y daughter got up to see her brother at ISU. sounded like we missed a great football games as well since ISU won in 3pt 51-48.
  19. Pacers also went into SA and spanked them as well.
  20. Was not a fan of extending his contract because I want to keep Sabonis long term over Turner. They don't seem to be able to play together so to me they have to choose one or the other and that should be Sabonis. To me Turner is not a tough enough player around the basket and can't rebound well enough because he can't hold his position. If it was me in charge I would have tried to trade him this off season but maybe they can do it next off season. Something just does not seem right with the Pacers and something is missing. The last few games they are not moving the ball like they did earlier and VO is trying to do to much at times which is hurting the team. Luckily last night VO picked it up in the 4th to seal the win against a bad Knicks team.
  21. My philosophy as a shooter is that the next one will go in and you need to keep shooting. I never thought when I was open and was able to get my feet set that I was going to miss that shot and that is the mentality a good shooter needs to take.
  22. To me for the Pacers to make the next step they need one more very good player to add to the starting lineup, probably at SF or PG
  23. Pacers really looked bad last night and just could not get their offense going last night. VO tried to do to much last night and the Pacers did not move the ball like they usually do. The bench got out scored like 55-15 so the bench did not show last night. Lillard and McCollum came in averaging over 50 points a game combined and the Pacers held them to around 34 so you would think the Pacers should have won that game.
