  1. Agree to disagree because I have seen the Pacers get screwed for years in the playoffs
  2. Actually I saw this same thing on at least 4 drives by the Pacers in the 4th quarter. To me the officials started swallowing their whistles in the 4th quarters and stopped calling things they called in the first 3 quarters. Like I said this kind of thing is part of the reason I have really soured on the NBA the last 20 or so years.
  3. Yes it was if you watched the lower body because on the drive he had his arm in the back of Bojon. It was a clean block on top but he body him all the way to the basket. When Kyrie does that it is called a foul every time. One time when Turner got switched on to Kyrie Turner moved his feet great and Kyrie went into Turner and actually grabbed turner leg but Turner was called for the foul.
  4. To me the Pacers are stuck right in the middle where they are to good to get a top pick but not good enough to be able to compete for a championship. In the NBA you have to totally suck for 3 or 4 years and have top 5 picks every year or be a top free agent destination and the Pacers are not either one. Also I probably was way to emotional right after the game about the officials but this is one of the things that have soured me on the NBA the last 20 years.
  5. The NBA is the most crooked organization in this country by what they did to the Pacers in the 4th quarter. The refs swallowed their whistles on every Pacers drive to the basket with the Celtics shoving in the lower back. With the Pacers up 2 with a minute to go and Bojon got by Hortford but Hortford put his arm into Bojon's back with no call. The Celtics was mugging the Pacers the whole quarter with no calls but when Kyrie goes tot he basket he gets every touch foul. I guess I should be use to as a Pacers fan since I have seen the NBA screw the Pacers in the playoffs for years. Also the Pacers need major changes for next year because they have no athletic ability besides Victor and can't score through contact or score over people. Turner has to be one of the softest 7'0 footers I have ever seen and I was totally against singing him to that extension. They need an upgrade to the point guard and power forward unless Turner and Sabonis can play together but that is a very unathletic group. To bad you can't combine those two skills into one great player because turner has the defense and shot blocking but very little offense. Sabonis plays with heart with some good low post moves but separately they are just average players.
  6. I would like to see us to get to a point where we cans tart red shirting some of our freshman like Demezi or if we get Windham. UW has done this for a long time and it really has helped them develop their players over 4 and 5 years.
  7. I guess we agree to disagree on Barkley and the tournament because I want guys who have followed college basketball all year doing the tournament.
  8. Maybe for the NBA broadcast but can't stand having him or any of the other NBA announcers doing the tournament.
  9. That money comes from the big ten network and the more teams you add the less each team will get.
  10. Well if we didn't then they played 8 out of the other 9 teams and that would be better than if you played 9 out of 20 teams. My point is that conference expansion is not good for the actual product on the field and the only reason for it is money. Also I care more about how all of this effects basketball and right now we have 6 teams we only play once and if you expand that would make it more teams you don't play twice.
  11. When there was 10 teams. We have played Nebraska one time since they have been in the big ten so it is not like we are in the same conference. The only reason for it is money and not for the better of the sport and that is what I care about. Just like in pro sports when all sports started expanding in the early 90's sand to me it watered down those sports.
  12. Not hanging on to the past what so ever but wanting what is best for the sport and having 20 team conferences is not the best for any sport. Being part of a conference is about being part of a group who is competing for a championship and playing all the teams in that conference. If you split a conference up by two 10 teams sides then you are totally eliminating what it means in being part of a conference. Why does everyone think that all changes in sports are for the better because a lot of them to me has hindered the sport rather than improving it.
  13. NO thank you, 14 is to many but we are stuck with that amount of teams
  14. I know this would never happen but this is what I would like to see the NBA playoffs be like. To me the playoffs are way to long and shouldn't take 3 months to finish the playoffs. I think they should go to the NCAA tournament route and just have one and done scenario and play all games on neutral sites. This way when we see some upsets like Saturday they really mean something but more than likely the higher seed will still win the series. So here is my suggestion for the playoffs and it is to still have a east region and a west region with 8 teams in each region with 4 games at each site. You then lpay the second round at that site as well and after that you will have 4 teams left and have a final four site. East Region at Syracuse New York 1 vs 8 4 vs 5 2 vs 7 3 vs 6 West Region in Seattle Washington 1 vs 8 4 vs 5 2 vs 7 3 vs 6 Final four at New Orleans Louisiana.
  15. 4-2 Celtics but with Marcus Smart out it will hurt there defense. The last game we played against the Celtics he guarded Bojon and got in his head and held him to like 6 points.
  16. Pacers beat Atlanta in the final game to go 48-34 which is the exact record from last year. The Pacers did not play 5 of their top players and still beat Atlanta who played all of their starters.
  17. I love IU football and want all IU sports to succeed but if they said that IU could only field one of the two sports I would pick basketball over football every day.
  18. I like college football but don't watch a lot besides IU games. To me college football is so predictable that you will have the same 4-6 teams vying for the championship every year. For me this is not that entertaining and you will never see a Cinderella team in college football because they never get a chance.
  19. I know it will never happen and I am happy with what we got but I would rather see us be able to play all of our conference opponents twice. A few months ago I paid around $1.30 for gas so it almost got back to a dollar.
  20. If it were up to me this is what would happen because I would like to see conferences a lot smaller.
  21. Also I am worried that Pacers even with Vic is just going to be stuck where they are good enough to be competitive and make the playoffs but never compete for a championship. You will never build a championship team picking in the middle or the lower part of the draft. In NBA you either have to be able to bring in multiple top free agents or suck for 3 or 4 years to get top draft picks. Right now the pacers can't do either one so they are in a holding pattern hat will be hard to get out of.
  22. Pacers are looking horrible at home tonight so far against the Celtics. Just can't believe they are playing like this when this game is pretty much for home court advantage.
  23. If you are talking about Orlando they are not taking since they are competing for a playoff spot.
  24. No expert but I doubt he has much of a chance. If Jimmer Ferdette has had trouble sticking in the NBA I would guess he will as well.
