Where we disagree is that I don't think a trade even with Thad in it would produce much of anything. I rather make trades like the one where we got Thad and that was to give up #20 in the draft to get him.. For teams like the Pacers to every be a contender they have be able to get a top 3 pick by sucking for a few years like Philly did. Trading the players you mentioned would never get you a top 3 pick so all you are doing is trading a descent player for another one but younger.

Rather kept them and made the run this year because having multiple second round picks doe snot help out at all. Like I said after the top 5 or 10 picks it is a crap shoot in the NBA draft.

The other teams are not stupid or at least most aren't so what would you think you could have gotten Collision, Joseph, O'Quinn or Evans.

Actually I wouldn't trade players for draft picks unless if it is a top 5 pick. It seems like in the NBA draft once you get out of the top 10 there is not that many difference makers so I would trade draft picks for proven commodities Also Bojan and Thad is the only one I would bring back and Bojan is probably going to get a big payday so it will be hard to bring him back..

Probably would but the 4th pick is not enough plus what Turner makes it would be hard to match salaries when making a trade.

On the way to work I was listening to 1070am and they were talking about one mock draft and they had the Pacers drafting Romeo at 18. In this mock they had San Antonio at 19 picking Carsen Edwards.

I looked at some mock drafts and this draft seems pretty weak after the first 5 picks. I saw one having Jaxon Hayes from Texas at 10 and if that is the case this draft is terrible.

I guess I was wrong about the NBA lottery conspiracy theory when I said that the Knicks or Lakers would get the #1 pick. for a little bit it kind of appeared that I might be right when it got down tot he final 4 teams.

To me if Jordan would have played with the rules today would score 45 points a game

That is the Pacers problem is that they have to build through the draft but when you are drafting 18-25 every year it is about impossible to be championship team. They will never be a destination for top free agents and this year with so many free agents it is hard to make many trades. to me you have to choose between Turner and Sabonis and trade one of them for some quality scorers.

Not many of those type of point guards left or scorers who play well off the ball.

I would like for the pacers to make a run at Kemba Walker because we need another guy who can score late in games and create his own shot.

To me all they had to do is make their morning show go 7-11 and have DD show from 11-3 with no national radio at all.

Did not understand why 1070 to their 10-12 morning show and moved it to 7-10 and replaced Golic and Wingo. I don't really like that show either but it is better than Labatard.

Just like how the NBA got lucky that when Ewing came out that the Knicks had the first pick or how Cleveland just had the first pick when Labron came out.

We all know it won't happen because they won't want to give up the money. If they shorten the season you know they will increase the cost of tickets so they can make up the money they will lose by shortening the season.

I think the perfect number is around 50-60 games. The one year after a strike the season was 50 games long at to me that was about the right amount of games. I also think they need to shorten the layoffs as well because I don't think it should take 2.5 months to play the playoffs If I was in charge of the NBA I would contract 6 teams because I think the rosters right now is watered down with talent. We have to many teams where you are lucky to have a couple of really good players and the talent is to dispersed unless you are a team that can get multiple superstars to come to your team. I look at a team like the Pacers who right now are stuck in the middle where they are to good to get high draft picks but not good enough to compete for a championship.

Yes in my mind I like the college game better as well as the high school game. I don't have to have the best and most athletic players to be playing to enjoy the game. I would rather watch Wofford play Belmont than watch any NBA game. To me watching Houston Rockets play is the worst team to ever watch because to me that is not what basketball is all about. I will watch all the Pacers games through November but once college basketball starts I will usually watch a college game over the Pacers every night.

I guess we will have to agree to disagree on this subject. I also don't understand why people who really like the NBA act so defensive when someone says that they don't really enjoy the NBA game.

Kyrie is a free agent after this season but I agree I would not want him on my team

Well I have tried and tried to watch the playoffs but I just get bored and turn it to something else. Like you I grew up watching the NBA and loved it especially watching the Lakers and Celtics. To me and only my opinion but to me pro sports are getting more and more sterile and to me there are not many characters in sports any longer. It seems like they want everything to be the same and try to get everything perfect and take the human element out of the game. Since the Pacers been eliminated I have only watched a few minutes here and there but have not watched a whole game. I use to stay up late watching the Western conference playoffs and remember watching the games on tape delay late at night but have really no desire for the NBA ay longer.
