  1. Only if he doesn’t want to develop while playing college basketball.
  2. Where is it played through? ESPN, YAHOO?
  3. Per Kevin Brockway tweet this evening Xavier Booker says Indiana still recruiting him hard, mentions assistants Brian Walsh, Kenya Hunter have been in contact
  4. Beat me to it. With IU’s recent ( and future?)success recruiting there maybe a good sigh.
  5. Personally I don’t even care if we ever play Kentucky again. At least as long as Cal is there. Play home and away or don’t play them. Chickensh@#t won’t play at IU because they’re scared of the crowd. Don’t need them.
  6. https://www.thedailyhoosier.com/iu-basketball-2023-target-coen-carr-planning-return-visit-eyeing-august-decision/ Wants to visit again.
  7. From article on twitter today. https://basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/five-star-kj-evans-discusses-visit-schedule ON UPCOMING VISITS “Arizona is next up in June. After that, it’s Indiana.”
  8. Maybe it slipped his mind that he planned a visit or maybe changed his mind. Haven’t seen anything on a visit and pretty sure we would, so who knows?
  9. From an early April story with him talking about the 5 schools. Indiana: “They're a great coaching staff. I have a great relationship with Mike Woodson and Kenya Hunter. Also my teammate Jalen Hood Schifino is going up there as well so I'm going to go up there and visit. I don't have a set date yet.”
  10. All due respect, but have to disagree. Unfortunately, human nature being what it is, knowing each other’s salary just leads to bruised feelings and possible discord. Not with everyone but it only takers a few to create a negative atmosphere
  11. Which is why you never tell someone you work with what you make or want to know what others are making. Work Sense 101.
  12. Agree! When I saw this on twitter I replied “ definitely the most underrated of the incoming players ; people are going to be a little surprised. If he can play defense to Woody’s satisfaction…….. “
  13. Maybe he and the others just KNOW they’ll be able to compete for minutes and are CONFIDENT he /they will get the game minutes. There are no absolutes here. Too much we don’t know about any of this to accurately say.
  14. I was beginning to wonder if Booker was any kind of priority to IU. It’s obvious he is to MSU. Don’t want Izzo to get him, hope he’s at IU.
  15. So with JG announcing he’s coming back, is there anybody besides TJD who hasn’t indicated he’s coming back?
  16. He’s not the first I’ve seen; no different than HS announcing their pick. Hell, the KENSUCKY cetnter announced on ESPN Sportscenter he was returning. I don’t particularly like it either but it is what it is.
  17. I think it ALLOWS players to make money off NIL but doesn’t REQUIRE it. That said, nothing prevents a player from arranging his own NIL deal but sure you would get more with university’s help
  18. When Xavier Booker was 3 years old, his height was already a problem for his mother. At their home in Raymore, Mo., Xavier — with a basketball in one hand — would reach up and open the front door. His destination was the driveway, where he would put up shots on the outdoor goal. Xavier picked up a basketball when he was 3. He picked up the piano when was 14. It’s kind of new to me,” he said of the piano. “I don’t practice it every single day, but I try to. The main thing I get nervous about is messing up.” There is some correlation from basketball to playing the piano. Developing skill through repetition, certainly. And learning to read music might compare to memorizing a scouting report or watching film. There is little doubt Booker is more comfortable playing in front of a few thousands on the basketball court than several dozen for a piano recital. But there is satisfaction in both for Booker, who can equate learning a new song on the piano to the feeling of a regional game like he had against Ben Davis.
  19. For any school, we’re really just trying to figure out where he fits in,” Fred Booker said. “With a lot of colleges, the attention is on you, but then five minutes after you walk out the door, it’s on someone else. It’s a constant evolution. We’re wanting to make sure he gets to a place he will fit in with the coaching staff and, more importantly, where he can get a good education. Basketball is what brings you together, but God forbid something bad happens, you need a foundation to do something else. For us, it’s a process and we’ve learned quite a bit. I’m glad we’ve been able to take our time and ask a lot of

  21. Check out this article from IndyStar: Xavier Booker is a 6-11 3-point shooting, shot-blocking marvel. And only getting better. https://www.indystar.com/story/sports/high-school/2022/04/22/basketball-recruiting-xavier-booker-2003-cathedral-michigan-state-indiana-purdue-butler/7318681001/
