I don't know who but there are several programs around the country that do that. I don't agree with it but I have seen schools benefit from it before.
It also hurts schools aka IU last year.

100% we are was posted here a few times. One Crystal ball for Neb. was entered by a Neb. insider but what do they know.
They think he is a triple option quarterback.

I could see Nebraska being a threat. If Essegian returns to freshman form, he's still fighting for major minutes (assuming Carlyle is coming).
If he returns to form, Nebraska can sell him on major minutes and feeding him like the dude that just left Nebraska. And we haven't proven that this system thrives for 3 point shooters.
The obvious counter to that is, we haven't had one, but Nebraska just did and his minutes are available
Wasn’t one of CE stipulations that be close to home so his family could watch him or was that someone else? He would get a shat more shot opportunities in the Hoiberg system.

You all know I don't do advanced metrics.Tony Aldragna was on Assembly Call and said Rice's offensive efficiency was 105 last year and JHS efficiency his freshman year was 94

Why the harsh comments on this dude(I am not even gonna attempt to spell his name) I wish IU had players that play with half the passion he plays with. IU plays like Armond Hill on the sidelines, very little interest.

Yes. There were people "elsewhere" who claimed inside knowledge that he was transferring to Notre Dame.
I thought it was Purdue

Humrichous has as good of a shooting stroke as you will ever see. Looks like we have a far better handle on scouting the portal than we did last year. It will be very important how we use him. He’s highly skilled but not a plus athlete.
Did he commit?

Why not? Trey wasn’t a starter until this year. Perkins had about a 4:1 assist to turnover ratio. I don’t want a SG who can’t shoot but I’ll take a PG with a 4:1 assist to turnover all day, one that can defend and get to the rim. When fouled makes FT’s at a good clip.
True, but TP had a lot of shooters at Iowa.

I drove past AH and they had the big recruiting cart out and it was full of people. Was busy so no time to stop.
Better get some name tags on the recruits so Woody knows who he is dealing with.

Not next year in the B1G.

Did not watch a single second of the game. Decided to devote my wife-approved free time today to watching some pre-season baseball. No sense making time for something that makes me unhappy. Life's too short.
I went to the Iowa State gamer to watch real basketball.

Lookin around the league and trends. We are not alone looking sketchy against lesser competition. Not by a long shot
It's a long season. All these teams, including ours, will look drastically different a month or two from now.
Villanova down in the 2nd half to PENN.
That’s why I said this early season, 2 games in. A lot of ball to be played. It’s going to be an interesting season. I am loving Ware so far.

Wolverines by 10 at the break... Their offense is pretty good... Burnett has 20+
We didn't miss out on Ledlum from what I'm seeing...
that’s what I was thinking as well. I haven’t been following other teams , but did IU miss on anyone in the portal or HE players that looks as if they would have helped through this young season of 2 games?

The reclass guard thing didn't work out so well for us last time, so I was happy to see this article state that this would be the appropriate class for his age. Had some brief, unpleasant flashbacks.
2024 is Sanon original class I believe.

Not sure what "today's culture" has to do with it? I can all but guarantee you stuff like this was handled internally during Bob Knight's tenure that you never even heard about.
No doubt. Do you want to go to jail or do you want me to call CBK? Haha. Take me to jail.

Something to think about.
If Xavier Johnson and Boogie Fland opposed each other on the court today, who would have the upper hand? My money is on X.
That is not intended to be a swipe at Boogie. He very likely will have the more successful professional basketball career.
But, I think most of us would be in agreement that winning titles in the court is more important to our 'fandom' than winning every single recruiting battle.
PG is the most important position on a basketball team. Experience plays a bigger part in the success of a PG than it does at any other position.
I'm not saying we always need a 6th year guy like X as our PG. But, what I am saying is that, especially in the 'portal mania' world we have today, that championship level PG is easier to get ahold of than ever before.
Regardless of what school Boogie chooses, Mike Woodson knows what he is doing and will have someone ready to take over for X next year.
It may be Cupps. It may be an experienced transfer. Heck, it may even be Boogie since he's not officially announced.
Give this coaching staff the benefit of the doubt. It will all work out in the long run.
Exactly, hit the portal for an experienced PG next spring.
2024/2025 portal/late decommits IU is interested in
