Not sure if you are questioning the validity of the trade, or my assumption that it makes the Pacers playoff run tougher.  The Pacers are currently 7th in the east and the Pistons 9th.  This trade may help pull the Pistons back towards that 8th spot.

    Didn't know about the trade.

I did not get to see the Pacers/Mavs game last night, but I thought it would be interesting to see 2 great former IU players go at it against each other, Yogi and Victor. But I see where VO did not play last night. Too bad. How did Yogi do?

Yogi put a dagger in the P's.

After watching the Pacers and Celtics tonight made me appreciate more how good of a coach Brad Stevens is.  This is the first time I really got to see them and besides Irving the Pacers roster is as good as the Celtics. Both teams had starters out with Victor out for the Pacers and Brown and Morris for the Celtics.  There are a lot of players on their roster who played I have never heard of.  Their second unit tonight are not championship caliber players but wit Stevens as coach he has them playing well.

Boston just doesn't knock on anybody's door.

  4. Just to shed some "light" on PG13.  How many of you know that he de-committed from not 1, but 2 schools?  He originally committed to Santa Clara, backed out.  Then committed to Pepperdine, backed out.  Ended up at Fresno St.  Hmmmmmmm.  And fwiw he grew up a Clippers fan.

I thought that trade was better thank the "experts" believed at the time and I would not be at all surprised to see Vic earn every penny of his "expensive" contract.  I tried to tell myself that I was just being an IU homer but I just love Vic the person as much as I love Vic the player.  That may end up being a great example of a true win-win trade, even though I suspect the Pacers may end up looking like they got the better end of it yet. No doubt it will take awhile to prove out since PG is better regarded today, but I doubt the Pacers miss his attitude.

Spot on and I would also say that PG might not/probably won't be in OKC next year.  IMO, the early returns are that the Pacers got the better end of the deal.
