  1. They could lose again before OSU, but I don't think so.  The next week is big for both of them.  i think it really comes down to beating Ohio State and then containing Caitlin Clark in their final game before playoffs.  They could be a #1 seed and/or in the Final Four.  Guess we'll find out.

You were certainly right about the no match for TJD. Hope you’re right about the rest!

I hope so also.  It would be great to start playing like we were initially ranked.  Hard to play without your point guard and Race, but after losing some games they probably shouldn't have, they seem to be adjusting.  If we can beat MSU this weekend, who knows?  Does anyone know when Race, and then maybe even X, can come back?  The kids can take us only so far.

  3. I agree with dgam.  We are losing to teams we would probably easily beat if not for losing our point guard and now Race.  One year, who knows when, IU will go through a season physically intact.  If X and Race don’t get back it’s going to be a long, disappointing season.

All that being said, just cut out the turnovers, hit a few more shots, and expect PS three point shooting to cool off, and this game is still in play.

  4. Eliminate half of the silly turnovers snd it’s a much better game.  KU is a good defensive team but not that good.  When it got to ten, we missed an open three and a layup.  It could have been five and a different game.  Instead, it went the other way.

  5. I was there.  The atmosphere was amazing.  From the minute I walked into MGM from the parking lot all I saw was IU jerseys throughout the hotel and casino.  They announced 13,500+ fans at the game.  Of those, a least 10,000 were IU fans.  The noise was deafening.  You would have thought more AU fans since they are much closer to Las Vegas, but that as not the case.  They got frowned out by IU fans the whole game.  It was like a home game.  IU travels well.

As for the game itself, Arizona had too much height, which gave them multiple second and third chances.  They love to throw the ball inside to the two seven footers.  Once IU got very close in the second half, AZ's guards got hot from outside.  It seemed like every three pointer they threw up went in during the stretch between 8 and 4 minutes remaining.  IU fought hard but just could never catch up.
