  1. Offense good. Defense good. Only reason this game is close is turnovers. Just HOLD ONTO THE BALL and make your free throws!
  2. Pretty simple. Learn to win on the road and keep holding serve at home.
  3. If the threes were going in tonight IU would be up double digits. Otherwise they are playing even.
  4. Rob hurt. Why so fast with the shot?
  5. OMG! Four offensive rebounds for PS without the big guy in the game? Come on!
  6. Game getting sloppy now. Would like to see Duncomb get some time.
  7. I don’t. But sleeve is on his left arm, not his shooting arm. Don’t want him hurt, don’t want him in doghouse, sick, academically ineligible or whatever. Want to see him out there when BIG play starts.
  8. Going to need him down the road. Hate to see friction or confidence draining.
  9. Is Parker even there? I’d be in Woodys doghouse? Makes no sense he’s not playing.
  10. All I know is that this game is too damn close.
  11. Just inexcusable! Don't know that I can blame it on the coach, but I can't understand why they played so differently in the second half. Why, after such a good shooting first half, did they not even try a three pointer until near the very end of the second half? How, all of a sudden, did a team that sucks at offensive rebounding just go crazy with them? Was it lack of effort? I hope not. After improving in their free throw shooting why did they pick this game to regress? I know Wisconsin stepped up the defensive pressure, but we missed several bunnies near the end. I'm pretty sure the 23 year thing had nothing to do with it. But we scored less than 20 points in the second half and missed 15 or our last 16 shots. Turnovers were OK, especially since at least two of them should not have happened or been called. The phantom traveling call on Durr, and to me, the most important call of the game, the offensive foul call on X which should have been a hooking call on Davison at the end of the first half. That was potentially a four point swing, which gave Wiscy momentum going into the second half. Not much more can be said. it's just frustrating, and I hope it doesn't hang over their heads going forward.
  12. I thought this team didn’t do well on offensive rebounding
  13. If not for the foul on X which should have been a foul on Davison, that was just about a perfect half. On to the 2nd.
  14. Just keep it up! It’s Madison. Just waiting for sky to fall in or refs to take over. Hopefully though, that is over.
  15. Big game for them today against Penn State. Time to get there mojo, and there shooting, back.
  16. This game is winnable, but certainly won't be easy. Need to play defense like in the second half against Syracuse. We have some shooters now, so Wiscy can't just collapse on the inside. Just, no slow starts, tough defense, and most of all, take care of the ball. If this team ever learns how to keep the TO's down, it will be a tough out for anyone. Finally, no two fouls for Trayce or X in the first 5-10 minutes. Need a fairly called game.
  17. Clean up the turnovers! Other than that, just know how to finish a game. In OT 1 we had the ball with 10 seconds left. Why didn’t we do exactly what they did in OT 2? Someone just drive the ball to the hoop and get a cheap foul.
  18. How was that not a foul against X? He just threw it away?
  19. And some of those fouls! How was that last one on X and not a screen call?
  20. Does it seem like the announcers are Syracuse fans?
  21. I have nothing critical to say about this game. Defense is excellent. Fouling and TO's were kept to a reasonable level. Offense, especially shooting, is getting there. We will need it all going forward. Keep up the good work!
  22. I don’t want to be a Debbie Downer, but this game had a lot of both good and bad. Good: Trayce, Lander improved a lot, our shooters showed that yes, they can shoot, the free throw shooting was better. Can these trends continue? I hope so, because they give me hope. Also, the defense is pretty good. They will need all of these improvements to overshadow the Bad: Yes, we won big but come on, no other team we play can possibly shoot this bad from the field and the line. We commit way too many fouls. Maybe some are due to the tighter defense, but good FT shooting teams are going to feast on us. Next, we gave up 20 offensive rebounds. Luckily the opps this time didn’t really take advantage of them, but better teams will. Finally, the turnovers. We had, what, 27? How can we beat anybody decent if we continue to play like that? The scary part is that it seems we are susceptible to frenetic, pressing defenses that make us rush and never get comfortable. Other teams will notice. Overall, I’m encouraged by the player growth and the shooting. It should continue. Also love the much improved defense. But if we don’t take care of the ball better, box out on the defensive end, and quit fouling so much, I’m not sure the good can overcome the bad when the opposition gets tougher. Next statement gam3 will be Syracuse, on the road. That should tell us a lot.
