Would take a lot more than that. I would assume Memphis first player they would want is Sabonis.
My best guess would be Sabonis($2.5 mil), Collision($10 mil), Evans($12.5 mil) and a 1st rd pick. Not sure the salaries would match still even with those three guys

Love for the Pacers to get Conley but he makes a ton of money and probably would take a lot of good players to get him.
Would have to think Cory and Darren would be included in this deal, especially with the Pacers wanting to get Aaron some more minutes. Why trade either Cory or Darren? Conley starts and Aaron is your backup PG with Sumner being your backup SG

Pacers have made guards Collison and Joseph available per Sam Amico, to free up minutes for Aaron Holiday

Pacers remains among teams(Utah, Raptors, Pistons) in talks with Memphis to land Conley. Conley prefers to go to the eastern conference and does not want to play in Utah. According to Sam Amick at "The Athletic", Indications from Pacers and Raptors is that the price is high although all teams are still in the mix.

Yeah it sounds (per unsubstantiated reports) that the P's really want to keep Bojan and consider him part of their future. I think one of Sabonis or Turner at some point will be available. Both are good, but whether the P's need both, or what they could get in return for one of them, I think is up for thought/movement. As the P's were in the Conley talks, tend to think they'll keep looking for a legit point guard addition.
A legit PG is a point of emphasis until Holiday is ready to make that leap(assuming he does). I think Aaron could be that PG of the future in two years so his 3rd year in the league.

Do not underestimate what Thad Young means to the team. I, for one, hope he is back.
I hope so too, I hope the Pacers don't low ball him.

IMO I think the Pacers will stand pat at the trade deadline and lean on the development of Sumner and Holiday for the remainder of the season. There are rumblings that Bojan and Pacers have interest in resigning in the offseason so you are looking at a core group of Vic, Bojan(assuming they resign him), Myles, Sabonis, Leaf, Holiday and Sumner that would be impactful players next season. This leaves a hole for a starting PG(my guess is a return of DC especially with his comments relating to becoming a mentor type role for Aaron) a starting PF(no idea who this would be) and a bench SG(no idea). I would be fine with Holiday/FA Signing/Sumner/Leaf/Sabonis coming off the bench with Vic/Bojan/Myles as starters leaving two holes to fill.
I know Vic may not be back at beginning of season but the free agent SG we sign during summer could fill that void or Sumner could slide in(if he continues to improve)

The 76ers are banking on a deep run in the playoffs(Eastern Finals or NBA Finals) after this trade. I have heard reports of Butler is planning to walk in the offseason. Only way he stays is if they make it to the ECF or NBA Finals. There bench will be atrocious, only legitimate guy still there is Redick. If I were the 76ers, I'd try and flip Redick for two role players to come off the bench. The 76ers will get beat in the playoffs cause of their weak bench.

How about a frontcourt of LeBron Anthony Davis and DeAndre Jordan.
Not sure Davis and Jordan would coexist together. Jordan doesn't leave the paint and Davis isn't a stretch 4 type player. I would say Lebron/Davis/Thompson if I had to guess

Knicks just took themselves out of the ad talk I wonder what Vegas is saying now?
they are going after Irving and Durant during offseason with now TWO max contract slots! More than likey going to buy out Wes Mathews and Jordan.
BUT Luka and Kristops together in Dallas? OH MY LAWD! They need one more all start type player and they are a top 5 team for years to come.

If I am the Pelicans, do this in a heartbeat. They have said to see star potential in Lonzo, win him over with the remaining 3 years or so on his contract, plus I think Ingram can be a good starter, Kuzma I feel the same as I do with Ingram and Zubac has really flashed lately. Flip Jrue(to my Pacers) and flip Randle for young assets. The pelicans I THINK would be good in 2 years I think.

Yep, the problem with the super-max contract that was designed to help keep stars in small markets is that players have realized they can sign the contract, lock in the guaranteed money, and then just force their way out later.
In the end, it allows the small markets to keep their star players but at what cost? It puts the small market teams in a bind where they as an organization do not want to tie up that much money across multiple players or even across three players at say $25 mill per player. Wizards are a prime example, Wall is going to make $38.5 mill next season, while he is an All Star when healthy the team only has roughly $70 mill left to spend IF and only IF they do not enter the luxury tax. Meanwhile, the Warriors can enter the luxury tax by a wide margin, make enough revenue throughout the playoffs to offset that cost/penalty for being in the luxury tax and keep doing the same thing year in and year out while bringing in rings.

So with the current roster without Vic, my guess is we end up the fifth seed entering the playoffs. All other four teams ahead of us we are not better than, yes we have a chance to win a first round matchup but will be very very difficult. Only way to get a potential all star to this team sooner rather than later(drafting and that player becomes an all star maybe in 3 or 4 years) is via trade. However what would we have to give up to get one? I love Sabonis to death but in all honesty he is our best prospect outside of Myles and Vic and he's only making like $3 million per year or close to it. So assuming Vic returns next season and back to an all star level during the season at some point, would Victor, Myles and a potential all star(SF or PF) be enough to make a run in the east? I do not know that answer.
To get an all star(I would prefer a SF or PF in return) I think we would have to offer something along the lines of Sabonis/1st rd pick/expiring contract. Would this be enough? Who knows.

NBA needs a hard cap and needs to up their game when tampering becomes involved. I think a few games suspended for being found guilty on tampering from players would work and a loss of draft picks if owners or GM's are caught tampering(aka Magic Johnson).

Pacers looked horrible in that embarrassing performance tonight
Even with Vic, I do not think they would have won. Lose by 32 or whatever no way. My guess would have been a 8 to 10 point game if Vic played. While they didn't respond the way I was hoping, it was nice for Aaron and Sumner to get valuable minutes. I think the offense needs to go through Myles and Bojan as your first two scoring options. This is Myles chance to take 12 or 15 shots per game and average 18 or 20 ppg for the rest of the season.

Some are saying that they believe Irving will not resign this summer with Celtics which is a potential reason to not be favorites to land Anthony Davis

It try and get holiday for that offer all day long. Think they would laugh though.
I meant those to be Holidays numbers my bad, corrected my original post.
Yeah they may not like it as not a lot of young talent. I think they would want young talent or expiring contracts in return so they could offer who they want this upcoming offseason

Reports are that Davis would sign an extension with the Knicks, they are expected to send a hefty offer over. My guess is he goes to Boston/Knicks/Lakers
Jrue Holiday said 90% of the reason for returning to the Pelicans was due to Anthony Davis. My guess is he is next to go, Pacers should offer Evans($12.5 mill this season)/Collison($10 mill this season)/1st rd pick for Jrue. Jrue is 28 years old, Conley is 31 and both have similar contracts(Conley has two years after this season and Holiday has 3 years after this season). Jrue would be due $25 mill this season, $26 mill 2019-2020, $25 mill 2020-2021 with a player option for 2021-2020. Jrue's wife has ties to Indiana with Lauren and his younger brother is here in Indy.
2019-2020 Season Depth Chart
Starters: Jrue/Vic(sign veteran SG to fill in until Vic returns, then he competes with Sumner for back SG minutes)/resign Bojan($12 mill per year)/resign Thad($12 mill per year)/Turner
Bench: Aaron/Sumner/Doug/Leaf/Sabonis
I would be fine with this for next season, they could also find a cheap SG to back up Vic or start for Vic until he returns next season. Remember, Indianapolis is not a big ticket location for prizes Free Agents. I think Jrue is a great defender, can score and can make his teammates better like Conley does.

Pacers are going to be damn sure he's ready before he comes back. Parker may have come back in 6 months, but he's a different style player with a different role. I think we could be looking after the all star break next season and would not be surprised if he waited until the start of '20-'21.
Very true. I would make sure he is 110% healthy, not 90% or 95% before returning. He could possibly end up playing a bench role for the 19-20 season assuming he returns then

lol, I truthfully didn't know.
According to Boston Sports Medicine:
Partella tendon attaches to the tibial tubercle on the front of the tibia just below front of the knee. It also attaches to the bottom of the knee cap, so this is going from the bottom of the knee cap to the shin.
When a quad tendon ruptures, the patella loses its anchoring support in the thigh to the knee cap. So this is going from the thigh to the top of the knee cap

I agree, I'd go as far as offering Collison/Evans/OQuinn/ and 2 future 1st rd picks before including Sabonis
It was reported that an expiring player and one young player was offered to the Grizz but they countered and that is when the price was driven up. No idea what was offered in the first deal. Jazz offered Rubio/Favors/1st rd pick, Pistons have offered Reggie Jacks
