If Zion reaches Barkley level he will truly be an all time great. Barkley, for his physical build, was an absolute freak. His athleticism, his skill, but more than anything, is drive are unparalleled IMO outside people like MJ, Kobie, LBJ. Sir Charles was a beast and and player of the highest order. Way above, IMO, opinion guys like Reggie, Karl Malone, or Ewing from his general time period. All those guys were great. Make no mistake. But I always found Barkley on a different level.

I heard Charles, Shaq, and Kenny Smith pimping today's players because they don't play hurt, ie. load mgmt. last night on the NBA post game.  They were laughing at Porzingis mostly and his injuries.

Just watched what is available online. Mostly his Hudl page. He seems to run a little more flat footed and while he is big he doesn't seem to be as athletic as Furst. He just doesn't look as strong physically. Lacks muscle tone...probably carrying more fat then Furst. To me...Furst is easily the better athlete and plays more physical...although Logan has a nice touch around the basket and could develop nicely with a good strength training.

Yeah...Just comparing a couple of photos it looks to me that Furst has a good set of shoulders where as Duncomb's seem a tad small or rounded.  I still think he's be a nice pickup for IU.  Moeller plays a very good schedule and will likely contend for another big school basketball title here in Ohio this season.  Thanks!

This. Also good chance we have 5 scholarships to offer with no bigs on the roster outside of Race if TJD is 2 and done. Gonna need multiple bigs from this class since we missed on Garcia. I think we prioritize Furst and Kaufman but Miller can’t afford to not have kids on the back burner. I’d prefer a true center but maybe this kid isn’t done filling out. Kinda reminds me of Zeller with his play around the basket but he is no where near strong enough to help much right away.

Not being snarky...Just curious.  I take it that you have seen the Duncomb kid play.  How much?  His height and weight are equal to Furst.  I realize that's not a complete determinant of strength.

Looks to me like he can shoot...probably better then any guard on IU's roster

I keep thinking about the kids like Pat Graham, Brian Evans, Ted Kitchel.  They weren't great athletes, but they could shoot...and they understood the game...the details.

I don’t see Trayce leaving after this year at all in my opinion. He has shown no jumper and the NBA big man theses days needs to be able to shoot. Plus Trayce is only like 6’9 he’s shorter that most NBA big men so he needs to be able to shoot and he has not proved that yet

While my heart wants to agree with you, we have seen numerous cases of players leaving ready or not.  His potential is what he and others will expect/hope gets him drafted.  But have we heard any talk that he's thinking of only staying one year?

I'm with you. If scholarships allow I want one Jordy or Nick Z or Matt Roth every class. Pure shooter from deep. Don't care if they have 2 stars next to name. Give me a shooter every year.

Knight ALWAYS had kids who could shoot.  I used to believe that every kid growing up in Indiana and played b-ball in Indiana could automatically shoot...like it was genetic!!  Steve Green, Alford, Jay Edwards, Kitchell, Brian Evans, Pat Graham, Mike Woodson...and many others I can't remember.  Oh, yeah...some kid named Calbert.  😋

I think Juwan can improve but he looked lost out there in the game I saw. He doesn’t have 3pt range and he was standing around the arc. He is too small to work in the post and not a good enough shooter for outside just yet. He has to specialize or something. He has intangibles to be a Crowder or Carroll or PJ Tucker but he has a lot of work and effort to get there.

    Thanks for your observations.

Jared Dudley is one of those guys—like Malcolm Brogdon—who plays the game the right way.  Smart, team oriented, sound, well rounded, winner.  I hoped Juwan could turn into that type of player but his shooting and handle need to skyrocket.

No reason that Juwan can't still do what you're saying.

I hope Archie does not waste most of his time on Lander and instead goes after the other guys. Lander will have Kentucky and all the top dogs after him so it will be very difficult to land him imo.

Your opinion is different than mine.  😁
