Suter hadn't given up a run in his last 15 innings

I thought the pitch the first kid hit out was a good pitch.  Looked like a decent breaking pitch that was down and the guy went down and hit it.  The second home run the pitch was out over the plate and Seager put a good swing on it.

Reds hold on to win 8-4. Going into the 9th Texas had 1 hit. In the 9th they scored 4 runs on 6 hits.

Great game for Greene and an unfortunate one for Suter.  But they got the win and that’s what counts.  Yeah, I get frustrated with some of Bell’s decisions, but I don’t believe being in his shoes is as easy as I want to think it is.  😊

Finding guys willing to accept a role is going to be the challenge now. The big from Drexel not looking to go up against OB for playing time. Probably makes sense because of the investment IU made in OB.

Still, you're leaving Drexel and expecting to be the starter by default at a power conference program? Possible I suppose in today's crazy NIL world. Is it likely? What about practicing against better players if your goal is the NBA? Maybe that's not what they want. Maybe IU already discussed money and it wasn't what he expects.

It really seems every player in the portal now expects to he treated like a five star super recruit. But several of them will not be on a roster when the music stops.

It’s the California gold rush revisited.  Every player is looking to strike the mother load.

Holtzman was on 4 World Series Championship teams.  A's in 72, 73, & 74.  And Yankees in 77.

He threw a lot of innings with the A's.  I think 297 of them in one season.  It would take the average starting pitcher 2 fill years to throw that many nowadays.

Yeah, complete games still meant something then.

Yankees were glad to get rid of him, damaged goods.....

Yeah, the Reds decided to take a chance.  He’s 2-2 so far, but hasn’t been as strong as they’d hoped.  I’m not sold on him, but perfectly willing to give him more time.  He threw 66 pitches into the third inning and 32 were balls.  He had no command of his pitches whatsoever.

Not a good start for the Reds starter Frankie Montas after facing 4 batters

    Walk

    Walk

    Homer

    Walk

29 pitches and no outs down 3-0

Seattle has one if the worst offenses In the league and has 5 batters under .200 in the lineup

Just now walked lead off in 3rd followed with another home run.  He’s walked five in 2 innings.  Take him out. He’s thrown over 65 pitches.
