The way Nebraska gets after it on D, this could be ugly. A very high efficient two point defense doesn’t bode well for us. Better be able to knock down perimeter shots and lock the perimeter down on the other end.

Where have we heard this before?

Some good stuff and some bad stuff.

Hope Mack, X, and Ware can go against Nebraska - we need em.

Wouldn’t mind seeing Leal get some minutes. The team needs smarts more than what Gunn brings.

Loved Sparks stepping up when called upon. He should be able to do that against a team like Kennesaw State - but that’s the point, he did it. Good for him.

Defense flat out has to get better.

Our offense can be really good when they’re moving and attacking, but it’s not when it’s stagnant. We saw a bit of both tonight, but the run to start and finish were quality ball. Gotta play that way for 40 minutes every night the next 18 games.

Didn’t see the game…what happened to MgBako?

A month ago the dude was sitting on the couch. Now he's just throwing dimes all over the field and leading a team decimated by injuries to the playoffs.

Yet for 3 years my team can't figure out if our QB is the right guy or not.

I’m a Bengals fan…but they’re done, so I’m pulling for the Browns.  They’ve shown great spirit and guts this season.  Their fans deserve a great playoff run.  And wouldn’t it be amazing if they made it to the Super Bowl.

Not sure if we have any Browns fans on here but kudos to Kevin Stefanski and that team. All the injuries on both sides of the ball not to mention 4 qb's this year. 11 win seasons aren't necessarily routine in Cleveland.

Flacco has been doing a great job channeling Tom Brady.  😂 LOL

  5. Interesting that you brought up this game at this time.  My oldest brother came to visit for a couple of days and he lives in St. John, Indiana in a retirement community.  One of his fellow residents, who is also a friend, is a former Chicago Bear, Gene Schroeder.  He played from 1951-1957 as an end on offense and free safety on defense.  They played both ways back then.  He is, as told my brother, the oldest living Bear and still receives greeting cards from the Bears organization.  He has shared many stories about playing back in those early NFL days…and playing for the legendary George Halas with my brother.

Yeah, all the players you mentioned played. And it did go to OT... Baltimore winning on an Alan Ameche 3 yard TD plunge...

Started the ball rolling for pro football's popularity...

Side note: The Giants had 2 pretty good coordinators. Vince Lombardi for offense, and Tom Landry for defense... I think they met a few times down the road...

I was totally unaware of the Lombardi/Landry connection.  Thanks for that tidbit.

One of the 2 most important games in NFL history (the other being Super Bowl III) was played 65 years ago today, December 28th, 1958...Greatest game ever played...

John Unitas, Baltimore Colts, versus the NY Giants at Yankee Stadium for NFL Championship.  Did Frank Gifford play in that game?  I’m sure Raymond Berry did and possibly Lenny Moore?  Might have been too early for him.  Not sure without looking.  Did the game go overtime?  Lots of guessing on my part.  LOL

Just wondering what some of y'all think...

In the postgame, Woody talked about lack of energy...Anthony Walker did as well, and promised "it won't happen again."

Who has the most influence there? The coach? Or the senior (or any class for that matter) leaders?

    I would think Walker.

If XJ gets fully healthy, I actually think this team has a higher ceiling than last year's team.

The fact that we don't have a TJD also means we have a lower floor.

So I see both sides of the pessimist/optimist debate with this team.

I am still currently on the optimistic side.

I’m skeptical that we’re going to see a fully healthy XJ again.  JMHO
