What is wrong with Spieth? He seems lost to me. He’s struggled for a few years now and seems unable to find an answer to his inconsistent play. His swing drives me nuts. Too much success too early?

My gut says it's the year for Rickie.
That would be a nice story. But I don’t think it’s going to happen. At 4 over, he’s going to have to shoot a really good score today to make the cut. I hope he does, but I doubt he has it in him.

Oats ain’t going anywhere. He’s just done the equivalent of taking IU football to a NY6 bowl. People love it, but has spring football started yet? High bankroll and low pressure. He’d be insane to make that jump.
Drew was one of my prime picks, and he at least listened.
Sampson is still the one that scares me. He’s a solid coach that plays a really fun style, smooth talker in front of parents, boosters and the media, and knows how to operate in the grey area of the rules. Giving him a high profile platform like UK….😬
I think some UK fans believe Sampson, at 68, is too old. 🤷♂️

Maybe we get this kid to reclassify.
Holy crap! That kid has some amazing handle for his age. Don’t like seeing what appears to be some type of protective gear on his leg already. Maybe growth related? I have no clue…or kids.

I’d pay to be in the room when a player asked him, “what about LEO?
“If you mean Durocher, he’s dead and the other one…yeah, it’s dead too.” I could hear CCC saying something akin to that.

TKR and Jones will continue to be key players for Purdue. They are guys that will have opportunities tonight and it will come down to how they perform. UConn really doesn’t have a good matchup for TKR so I could see him doing some work against Karaban and it seems that Jones has been the guy left alone to shoot and he will get looks tonight. Those are my keys…of course outside whatever happens with the two bigs.
I don’t agree with your opinion about TKR and Karaban.

Was in the path of totality. I had my glasses on, took them off when the last sliver of sun vanished and gasped. It was literally breathtaking. Didn't take pictures, but the ones I've seen don't capture that feeling at all. It was surreal. Lived up to the hype.
Agree 100%

No it won’t. IU isn’t coming back. They don’t take it serious and you can see that with their hires.

I used to live in the town where those nutjobs built the ark replica. Kind of a neat idea, but I refused to even drive past it because the group that built and runs it actively promotes as fact the idea that dinosaurs and humans co-existed.
I actually had quotes for a billboard across the road from it that would have said “The Flintstones is not a documentary.” 🙄
Obviously, you have no recollection of Alley Oop. 😂😂

Didn't help that they took Green out after 6 great innings. The reliever then walks 3 straight batters and gives up 1 run without giving up a hit
Well, you know the Reds. Greene was at 99 pitches. They are watching all the young starters because of the injury histories, I guess. I’m not disagreeing with you, but that’s just the way they play the game. And I’m aware that you believe it’s stupid, but it ain’t gonna change. They’ve invested big money, for the Reds, in Greene and don’t want to take any chances.

Reds defense looks pretty bad right now. Elly De La Cruz has made 4 errors, mostly on throws, in 7 games. That’s beyond bad. He’s going to have mgmt thinking about switching him to the outfield if he keeps this up. Or he may find himself back in the minors.

Walter's son said it was UTI....will be headed home tonight thankfully.
I’m guessing that I didn’t read closely enough. Sorry. I saw ALS mentioned and him being hospitalized. I remember seeing that he had UTI previously. Anyway, I hope he’s doing better. Apologies for misinformation.

Steve McMichael hospitalized again for his ALS. Not a Bears fan, but it makes me sad.

Did you guys see the play in the 1st when India tried to score on the SF? What the hell was CES doing? That was in signal to slide?
Yeah…they definitely screwed that up. The Reds really believe that aggressive base running is important. It was going to be a close play, so someone needed to signal India to get down. I thought India would slide no matter what since it was a pretty shallow fly.

For all of you NL guys, has anyone noticed what team in the NL Central and is in 1st place with an undefeated record at 5-0 so far??
The Bucs have brought back the Lumber Company, it seems. Swinging some nasty bats! 😊

And on a lighter note, the Astros Ronel Blanco pitched a no hitter tonight. It was the 8th start of the 30 year old’s mlb career.

David Bell pinch hits Nick Martini in the 8th. Perfect. Martini hits a 2 run double. Puts the Reds up by 2. Then, he proceeds to do what may be the most idiotic managerial move I've ever seen. He doesn't let Martini stay in the game to play right field. Rather, he puts Jake Fraley into the game into Martini's spot in the batting order. That's Jake Fraley, your last left-handed bat left on the bench. That's Jake Fraley, your best clutch hitter last year, who now has virtually no chance whatsoever to bat in the 9th if you need him against the Nats Right-Handed closer. Of course, we now know what happens. Diaz blows the lead and the Reds don't have Fraley's bat available unless they go 8 hitters deep in the 9th.
That's ignorant. Martini is an outfielder. He easily could have stayed in the game after his pinch hit. Just unreal.
Reds go up 2, so possibly Bell is thinking about defense rather than needing Fraley’s bat at that point? Not arguing your point and I don’t know which player is better defensively in right field. I think we should be more concerned with Diaz at this point, in my opinion. The bullpen looks extremely shaky to me. I’ve got a friend who thinks the Reds should move Greene to the bullpen and work towards making him a closer. I’m not sure I’m ready to do that. 😊

Brings Special Teams back into play in a big way, I would think. Cuts down on concussions and brings back kickoff returns. No fair catch on kickoffs.

Just saw on BTB that Jade died Wednesday. Another of the greats from the ‘67 Rose Bowl team. Terrific receiver with great hands who was All Big 10 in ‘68 and ‘69, All American in ‘69. Damn. RIP Jade.
