  1. Seems like it should be a given, but I'm thrilled to see him attack the basket and dunk with both hands so often.
  2. https://www.si.com/college/ohiostate/recruiting/logan-duncomb-could-be-an-in-state-player-for-the-buckeyes
  3. Will be much better seeing him play against the Buckeyes than for them
  4. John Beilein and Bo Ryan won a lot of games with bigs that could step out and hit 3s. Can be demoralizing for a defense.
  5. He looked really excited to be in those uniforms, especially WI
  6. Jordan Tucker? Don’t see him ever in the NBA
  7. Geronimo - 3.98 GPA Leal - 4.3 GPA Galloway - can't find GPA but was offered by Notre Dame and plans to major in Business at IU
  8. Indiana basketball class of 2020 signee Jordan Geronimo has won the 2019-20 Gatorade New Hampshire Boys Basketball Player of the Year award. https://www.thedailyhoosier.com/iu-basketball-recruiting-jordan-geronimo-named-new-hampshire-gatorade-player-of-the-year/
  9. Nope. Too many from out of state.
  10. Who might be 2020’s late bloomers? Jordan Geronimo, St. Paul’s – Geronimo is the obvious answer in the region and one of the better national candidates as well. He has all the physical tools, the innate character to keep developing, and still vast untapped potential. And while he’s already committed to Indiana, the reality is his level of recruitment was based more on his tools and potential coming out of the summer then it was his production or ability to already dominate a high-level game. In short, he may be barely scratching the surface. https://newenglandrecruitingreport.com/in-the-news/who-might-be-2020s-late-bloomers
  11. Agreed and that is really the conundrum. Archie's been able to get guys in the 80-150 range, plus Romeo (one year) and TJD (hopefully at least 2). But we lack guys in the 30-80 range that are really needed. But if I'm in that category and also being recruited by MSU or Louisville, it's a hard sell for IU. Talent is needed to win and winning attracts talent. With the gauntlet that is the Big Ten, it is a slog to climb the ladder. It's much easier at the moment in other conferences to show progress. There are only three Big 12 teams and four ACC teams with a winning conference record. B1G has seven plus two more at .500. Do I sign up for the potential of being at the back of the pack and missing the NCAAT if I have options with programs that are already winning at higher levels? It's like Nebraska or Arkansas in football. You can hire and fire coaches repeatedly, but until something changes the momentum, you're irrelevant. Archie's at a very challenging crossroads. Does he continue to follow the plan, with the type of players he's been getting, or is there pressure to go for the quick fix with several transfers/jucos etc, taking a risk on character/chemistry. That would require creating some space. too.
  12. Have to like this: “He doesn’t get a ton of credit for how smart of a basketball player he is,” Gordon said. “That’s going to pay dividends next year to make the transition smoother. He watches more film than anybody on the team. This kid wants to be great and he puts in the work on and off the court. “From a basketball IQ perspective and just from a work ethic and coachability perspective, I think that’s going to endear him to the coaches right away because he’s got a motor, he’s got the hunger, he’s got the desire to be great.”
  13. Love this. HS coach is in his ear about how well he'd fit in CAM's system. Kremer has seen Archie Miller’s system up close and believes Duncomb can be an asset to it. “I’ve seen Indiana play a lot this year, he fits in perfect with how they run their offense, how they run their break…Logan’s really made for that,” Kremer said. “Logan’s really made for that because he runs great. Of course (Miller) likes big guys who can get out and run, putting pressure on the defense and he’s really good at that.” “Logan’s got an unbelievable motor - check plays at an all-out capacity every day he’s on the floor,” - check runs the floor, from offense to defense (and) from defense to offense, hard every single time.” - check “He goes for every single offensive rebound. He just doesn’t take time off during the game.” - check “He’s got good feet,” - check “I wouldn’t have given him the green light to shoot the 3 (last year), but this year he has it and I think as he develops he’s actually going to become a very good shooter.” - check
  14. Just one more, of many, missed opportunities to reunite with former players
  15. Love TJD, but he either needs a jump shot or needs to bulk up. It would be a mistake to OAD
  16. "I like Coach Juwan," Todd told ESPN last weekend. "I like the fact he used to play in the NBA, I like that he played in college, and I like the fact he played my position. I also like the school, obviously having a Michigan degree, that means something." Todd has often been considered a candidate to go overseas and play professionally for a year before entering the NBA draft, but he told ESPN last weekend that he planned to go to college. "It's a thought in the back of my head," he said of playing overseas, "but I really think the college route is the best route."
  17. Agreed, Romeo could have shut it down in November, still been a high draft pick, and never appeared at AH again. He did the opposite. I don’t think IU fans could ask for more.
  18. You don’t hear from many young guys who understand that the best way to get early playing time is by playing defense. It’s like a running back who can pass block
  19. So much for the theory that it’s best to have the last scheduled visit. GA and BC are saying, “wait, what happened?”
  20. So Jalen Bridges just committed to WVU, who is/was? a contender for Geronimo. Wonder if that impacts his decision at all?
