  1. The face you make when you're on a 3 game losing streak at the end of the season.
  2. Bucknuts gonna be a 13 seed. If I'm a 5 seed I don't want anything to do with right now.
  3. I don't think anyone from Fox, ESPN and or BigTen knows how to correctly rank big ten basketball teams.
  4. We're a passionate fan base and we can't help it. We're the kind of fans that after a big win give our wives an extra minute. 🤣
  5. I agree it should be easier to get defensive boards but so far in 29 game season only 2 players have gotten more than 100 defensive boards. TJD at 216 and JHS at 101. 6'7" Miller Kopp has the 2nd most played minutes this year and only has 62 defensive boards, Galloway with 4th most minutes has 62 and Tamar with the 5th most minutes played has 40. TJD has 27% of the defensive board totals and to be fair I think grinding constantly on the defensive end for boards and the offensive end for 1 shot offensive sets has broken his effectiveness on the glass. With that said teams know they won't be punished crashing the offensive glass because if TJD gets the ball he won't lead out a fast break and neither will Bates, Kopp, JHS, Galloway and or Race.
  6. There's a couple interesting things left out of the total rebound statistic. Indiana because of their high shooting percentage will generally have less total rebounds than a team with a lower shooting percentage. Teams know our defense is built to minimize fast breaks and our offense is based on making 2 point shots at high rate. Teams are getting defensive boards at will because our guards will get back on to defense to prevent fast breaks. Additionally, Indiana does not create a lot of fast break points off of missed shots. There is very little reason for an offense to not attack the offensive glass because Indiana isn't going to advance the ball forward making teams pay for crashing the offensive glass. I feel like those things add up to our lack of rebounding.
  7. I feel the same way. I can't say for sure but I felt like we forgot we were playing against a team with upperclassmen guards compared to the freshman from the Purdue team.
  8. One thing a great team always seems to have a PG who is a leader. I'm kind of reminded of the 2012 Indiana team that had Freshman Yogi has the PG. It's very rare, regardless of talent to have a Freshman point guard who is a true leader. Yogi was great but he hadn't developed the qualities of a true leader yet. This isn't negative towards JHS because he is terrific talent but in a game like this where you need a leadership at the PG position to value possessions we simply don't have that.
  9. Don is a class act. He knows when to keep digging and when to be respectful.
  10. I don't know about that. Some of those guys in the gardening/lawn thread are pretty persuasive.
  11. Some interesting statistics are that there have only been 88 games this season where a made 13 or more threes and made 56% of those 3 point attempts. Of those 88 only 7 of those teams lost. Obviously, Indiana's poor defense allowed this happen but it was a pretty rare 3 point volume and percentage made by Iowa tonight. It would be very very very unlikely to play another team this year that shoots that well from 3 with that volume.
  12. Let's just try to appreciate some of the positives from this game. It's over No one got injured Banks hit a 3
  13. Kind of low key wish Indiana would just start following for the remainder of the game to make the SEC game unwatchable for 30+ minutes.
  14. LOL this game so bad ESPN pulling out the alternate camera angles to keep people interested.
  15. Have you heard "Night Fouls" by Bob Meager Workin' on our night fouls Trying to lose the awkward home team droughts Workin' on our night fouls Mmm, and it was wintertime Mmm, sweet wintertime, wintertime
  16. Not saying he would have won the game but there's a connection on the defensive end we lost not having him.
  17. With the importance of valuing each offensive possession in a game like this you have to wonder what having a 5th year senior like XJ would have done.
  18. Don't worry the refs will cheap foul him out of the game.
  19. Remember the 95 or 6 Kentucky loss where we went down by 40 at one point?
  20. The great thing about watching Indiana basketball for 35 years is that I can at least sleep at night knowing that I've watched worse losses.
  21. We don't have a guard who can draw fouls and stop the clock.
