I feel like I said this 14 straight games now but I'll say it again "we need XJ to get to the next level."

TJD needs to get the ball at the free throw line. The space isn't there to move the ball to open shooters if he's passing from the corner.

The good thing is we're down by 3. The bad thing is we're down by 3.

TJD isn't getting the ball deep enough into the paint to allow the shooters open looks after he's double teamed.

Hopefully nothing major. I recall Rob Phinisee sitting out a bunch of games due to a concussions in 2018.

I started to see this come to fruition against NW. He has the ability to see the open man and pass into their shooting pocket. It's hard to believe we could ask more of TJD but if the shooters can find of way to rotate correctly when TJD is double teamed I believe he will find them.

I have no regrets derailing this thread.

My hope is that the Underwood double teams TJD and our shooters get the opportunity to go off. I would love to have 20+ 3 point attempts hitting close to 40%. TJD doesn't really need more confidence. We need Bates, Kopp and Galloway to have confidence from 3 heading into the road games in at BarfZone and Purdue.

When you made your original comment I first thought "It's unfair to the team being put the line that they aren't just given 2 free throws especially in the 3 point shot era." Then I thought, "well it's fair to the team that played defense so well that they aren't punished by giving up two automatic free throws." Now I don't know how to feel and there aren't any therapists to speak to around here.
