  1. From reading various articles, it seems Fife is more of a defensive specialist, and Lewis is an offensive specialist. If we're running the program like Bama football now, bring them both and let them each focus on their specialty. Let Hunter lead recruiting with Lewis and Fife assisting based on relationships and area. Love it.
  2. Jordan Bohannon isn't exactly a towering guard and he has excelled at Iowa. If Braden is that strong of a shooter, as well as a distributor, sign me up. His rebounding numbers tell he his tough and has high basketball acumen to be in the right place for missed shots.
  3. It gets old being everyone else's streak buster. Not sure if we play down to a team that we perceive is weak at the time, but this team needs to learn to crush their spirits early in the game and keep them down.
  4. This was one of Jordan Hulls's attributes many undervalued. He may have lacked certain physical or athletic attributes, but his mental toughness and competitiveness rubbed off on those around him.
  5. Tracy Foster was a stud for Homestead in the 80's, and down here for the UAB blazers. Helped Gene Bartow build up the UAB program.
  6. They both sound like they would fit our system and philosophy very well. It would be great to land some studs from a national power like Dematha and have that recruiting pipeline available.
  7. He subbed at our school numerous times, and started coaching when I was in high school in Fort Wayne. Great coach and person. Congrats Coach Gooden!
  8. Glad that disruption was removed. Love this board, and we have so many great things to discuss with numerous players deciding to return. (How the hell do you wish HS football gets canceled?! Bet he hates his mom and puppies too!)
  9. You think Texas would like to have Barnes and Mack Brown back? Consistent top-10 teams in both sports and they wear out their welcome. Always more to the story, but wow. Hope we get the opportunity to become complacent with top-10 teams in both sports soon!
  10. My wife is a UK fan and HATES not knowing the players. She was never a big Cal fan, and just hoped he wouldn't get them into trouble. Her favorite player was Chuck Hayes because he was a total grinder, and you got to see him develop over 4 years. I never thought I would see the level of disinterest from her and many lifelong fans I'm seeing now. They want Cal gone now.
  11. Throughout the state, you will have more career advantages as a former Hoosier player. Not even debatable.
  12. Great article. How refreshing to hear a young player expressing a desire to play whatever role the team needs, instead of talking about "his game", and how that translates to college. Could be semantics, but it seems we're hearing that from all of our incoming players. Can't wait to see how they all develop over the course of their careers. Pretty incredible that the Jordan documentary could have the effect of inspiring the work ethic of an entire new generation of players. Also interesting to hear a young player refer to Jordan as the GOAT, when they've grown up hearing more about Lebron.
  13. Yet another example of selective outrage by ESPN.
  14. Agree. I think some of the focus with Cross was that extra inch of height and has ability to mix it up inside. With Jordan's length, build, and desire to play defense, I think he can give us everything, plus more, than Cross could have. Don't see a need for another player in that position. Give us a point and/or post and move on to 2021.
  15. Good point on NBA focus. Most of these kids are being sold a bag of NBA lies. Refreshing to hear this kids perspective. Don't want to put every under the radar athlete into the Oladipo category, but his comments seem like those of a grinder. Give me a kid that wants to outwork everybody all day. With the type of player Archie was, I would think he would recruit and attract those kind of grinders with the pitbull mentality. Hopefully we get a couple of these recruits that seem to fit that mold.
  16. Don't know about Justin's recruiting comments regarding offers, but love the gratitude this kid exudes. It could be that he has recently blown up, and hasn't gotten used to it, but attitude is such a big factor. Give me a grateful fast riser versus someone that was ranked high early based on athleticism, and hasn't progressed, any day.
