100% agree Dennis is a stop gap. He just has talents that we don't currently have, at the level he has them at. I don't think I've said its the "ultimate" personnel move that moves us in the elite category. Everything I have said has been looking through the lens of bringing back and adding everything I've mentioned earlier. I won't be surpised at all if Miller is 37-38%+.

Sorry.. I have looked at a million different stats this week. Miller shot 6% better from 3 in conference compared to the year prior. I'm honestly quite tired of discussing MK. He is a flipping stop gap to get from where we were, you know, 12-15 under Archie... to 21-14 in Woodsons first season to preseason top 20 this year. He's on campus one friggin season and we can find someone else to whip. I have no clue where this conversation has even gone. But here-- our wings will be an immense amount better, and hopefully add Dennis to that. We bring back XJ, TJD, and RT-- they are very good. We add two 5 star FR, we certainly expect JG to improve some.. plus, you add in a whole other year with our staff... development, continuity. We are loaded.

Kopp shot like 6% better under our staff compared to the year prior. You aren't anywhere close to a finished product as a 22 or 23 year old basketball player. This move along with everything else we have and will develop... yeah big year coming.

FWIW-- my dad has a pretty close connection to a Purdue asst coach. They spoke this week and he (the coach) mentioned Jaden is simply immature. Said he is super supportive of his teammates and works incredibly hard. This coach isn't looking at this through poop colored glasses. Or whatever their term for it is. 🤷‍♂️

But the debate is if we are going to improve as a whole from last year to this year. A contingent of SR DD, SO TB, JR TG, and JHS/MK working in there... is ungodly better then what we had last year. Growth from JG, RT, and TJD... we could be very good.

He isn't better then a FR TB, or SO TG, or Parker Stewart?.. that's who's mins he would gobble up. I think he's better to a lot better then all of those players.

Right. That means some. The ability to guard 1-4 doesn't show up. There are soooo many things defensively those #s aren't going to tell you. That goes for everyone. Everytime we had to switch this year and PS or TB or RP got switched onto a big.. it was 2pts. Every single time. Phin was a good defender, when he was guarding someone his size.. he had very little versatility.

Honestly though-- McNeil might be the staff's first choice anyway 🤷‍♂️

Very true. I was pretty intrigued when I watched him have the ability to shut down Phinisee (saying being able to guard a PG) and disrupted Juwan down low in the same game, as a FR. I don't buy a ton of stock into his shooting #s because before this season, they were more then fine, and I believe we have an elite staff that are more than capable of getting him to shoot at a solid clip-- example-- XJ and RT the last 15-16 games of the year.
