  1. No. I think Salem is a good football team. It was 14-0 for a bit.
  2. Whiteland is loaded and East is finally a tick down. North has at least 4 defensive starters including 3 of their 4 starting DBs. And they had two turnovers in the first quarter.
  3. He was not good against them last year. Now... there are some things that going into this game that puts CN at a disadvantage, but we will see. And yes, they couldn't stop CN a lick last year. GS is very well coached though. CN the same.
  4. Back to football... 86 degrees at kick off in Brownstown. We don't any OL/DL both ways. For a school of 500 that is a big deal. We should be in 2A, but they didn't reclassify this year. Those hog mollies can't go both ways this early in the season, especially. Difficult enough for the backs. We don't have the depth we should because we had some kids bail.. but still in a decent spot depth wise.
  5. Agree. The comment that all the kids lose is "memories" really struck me as complete nonsense. Those memories are things you will cherish forever.
  6. I think they will be solid. They have a good program, they just unfortunately play in Center Grove's sectional. One of Columbus Easts championships.. Columbus North handled them in the regular season, but they have a couple hundred more kids than East. Anyways tonight... Columbus North is going to hammer the B gaps. Can Gibson stop it? Last year it wasn't even a game. We'll see. Gibson has an excellent game day atmosphere!
  7. I'm a big fan of Casey. But.. hare to imagine someone being better in John Duttons role than Kevin Costner. I'm a huge fan of his. Untouchables is one of my favorites of all time.
  8. My wife has over a 2.5hr drive, one way, to Gibson Southern tomorrow night. She will get back late our time.
  9. In the next calendar year.. Ozark Season 4 Peaky Season 6 Yellowstone Season 4 Jack Ryan Season 3 Let's go
  10. I apologize for wanting things done the right way and wanting to protect the right of my students and players. My apologies. You are right. You are as entrenched as this as I am. Just go get the vaccine and then you can't get or pass on the virus!! Oh wait.. It really is close contacts as the problem though. Things actually have changed Scott... quite a bit, really.
  11. Correct. And just coming onto this thread to tell people they didn't handle Covid "right" (whatever that means), while not having any sort of skin in the game, does absolutely zero good.
  12. No, Scott.. its not. It's from close contacts. Literally. There isn't that many cases of our youth having the virus to shut down entire schools. Again, it's the close contacts... whatever in the hell that actually means.
  13. @IU Scott my wife quarantined probably 300 kids last year. 2 of them actually ended up getting Covid. They were cases where a sibling or family member got it, and they lived in the same household. I already said those individuals should be quarantined. Sitting in class for a bit with a positive case? No, those individuals should never be forced to go home/miss out on their education.
  14. Actually... again... if they would just dump the ridiculous close contact requirements, there would be ZERO schools shut down. ZERO.
  15. I'll get one heckuva look at them come late Friday night
  16. Great find man. I appreciate it.
  17. He said we benefitted from empty stadiums... that comment doesn't make sense, at all. We won those games at home. The size of the Big House and Happy Valley is irrelevant. Those games were played in Bloomington.
  18. You can cut it however you want. We're 14-7 the last 21 games and two of those losses are OSU. 100K ppl? We played UM and PSU at HOME lol.. we whipped UM, so whatever I guess. The chances of us coming away from Iowa, Michigan, and Sandusky U with 3 wins is not very high, at all. None of that changes the course we're on AT ALL.
  19. I dont love the first heading, but I agree with the write up for sure. My first take from the QB play yesterday wouldn't have been "Eason outshines Ehlinger".... mine would have been more like "both QBs show how they can be effective" or something like that. Eason showed the arm. Ehlinger had some up and down throwing wise... mostly solid though, but the bottom line is... He had 34 yards rushing in a half, as a QB. Thats big time. They play the same position, but their uniqueness is a good thing for us.
  20. No. I just watched his NSD quick highlight tape Ole Miss put out. I can't find anything else.
