Iowa is very, very hot right now. Even still, I like this matchup better than either Michigan or Illinois. Also glad to be playing a team that will also be playing their third game in 3 days.

The only case in which I would want to play in the NIT would be a Tom Crean first two years type of situation. New coach, massive rebuild, young team. For a team with multiple seniors and guys who have been in the program for 3, 4, or 5 years… the NIT ain’t it.

Watching the Michigan Iowa game. Just crazy to me. Michigan at home against a ranked opponent while being just barely on the right side of the bubble. And the crowd is basically dead-not even close to full capacity. Their fans don’t deserve the amount of success they have had.

As much as it pains me to say, I think Osterman with the Indy Star got it right when he recently said we are “mediocre”. The potential was present on this team to be really good… but it never materialized consistently and we consistently blew games we should have won(Rutgers, @OSU, @Syracuse, both Wisconsin games). It is what it is.

I hate Wisconsin as much as the next guy… but it doesn’t hold a candle to how I feel about Purdue. I’d root for Vladimir Putin against Purdue.
