Ladies should hold their heads high. Not a fan of women’s basketball, but they were fun to watch. They didn’t stop moving on offense (get a lot of good looks), played smart, and worked hard on the defensive end. They were toast early in the second half, but didn’t quit. When you can make threes you’re never out of it. S. Carolina was rattled and out-smarted. If we only had a couple more minutes.

Not criticizing at all but why not a fan of women’s basketball?  I have both men’s and women’s season tickets and typically really enjoy both except the men are making me question it.

  2. Scalia never caught the ball cleanly. Gathered it and then dribbled. Did not see a double dribble. This was after five fouls on a jump ball call and Scalia probably fouled on the attempted catch you are talking about. Obviously just my opinion too and I am biased.

  3. What these games have proven overall is that you have to have at least four guys on the floor who can score, if not five for most teams. And most can shoot from three. Need to have five guys that can be capable of contributing consistently. I know this is broken record but even St Peter’s has five guys on the court who can put the ball in the basket. Not to slight them but they don’t have our resources.

What play with Xavier are you talking about? I am pretty sure I will remember if you give a little more description than that…

TJD didn’t have anywhere to go, he got led into him. It’s still an offensive foul. Think about it the other way; how can Iowa defend it if them rotating over and cutting it off still allows TJD to play through them?

On TJD call. Think about it out farther on court. Would that have been call at half court? No. But moving on.

when they pressed at end and pushed X out of bounds and we gave up a three. Again does not matter now but I’m always surprised at how certain some are about their opinions on this board and they call others out without even considering the alternative.

They were showing it in indy. You can hear Grant Hill talk about it and the crowd after the fact.  And, yes, thr last three minutes I had to listen to it on the radio - I listen to professionals communicating and our guys are as objective as they come.  ES and Don Fischer are as good as they come communicating controversial calls.  Let me also say, I was kind of watching a grainy video while picking up my kid, of course parked :)

    And you are right.

He was called for two charges. Why don’t you think he would have gotten one there?

Because he was underneath to start. Where does TJD go? I know you like to be right but I disagree on this call. And it was big. Just to see your competency did you think Xavier got pushed out of bounds or was that a play on?  And if you say you don’t remember then?

I don’t think he had released it, but it was close.

Even if he had released it, still a pretty easy call. Defender was there and there was clear contact. In college that’s a charge and the bucket doesn’t count.

He was underneath him as he went up. Where is he supposed to go. That is not typically a foul if already underneath. And look at Race drive earlier with a lot more contact. Please explain.

I don’t think the refs cost us that game. They were not good today, but I didn’t feel like it favored one Iowa per se.

are you talking about the charge on Trayce? Why do we think that was a bad call?

He was underneath him as he went up. Where is he supposed to go

  9. Great comeback win today. Can’t remember the last time I was able to say that. And first time I have gotten to see the Hoosiers play in person twice in the tourney. Not to bring a negative to the conversation but where was Logan on the bench today? Was sitting right behind bench and happened to realize admittedly late in second half he was not there. Any info?

  10. This is a great team to watch. They play hard nose defense and get quality shots. I’ve enjoyed watching them courtside with the family the last two days and can’t wait to watch a championship tomorrow. If you are in the Indy area I recommend checking out this team tomorrow at 4pm. You can get great seat for less than $20. Hope to see you all tomorrow afternoon.

Woodson was asked why they were on the bench and dressed, and he said because they're still part of the team.

He definitely ripped the 5 guys though.

Also said he doesn't know if this will be just one game.

Personally I would sit them at least another game. Make them understand this is a team sport and teammates mean everything. I know this could cost us but this team is good enough that if those guys buy in they could make a good run in big ten tournament and be a pest in the big dance. Just my two cents
