Maybe Franklin heard/read Doyel talking about him being a 10 year/$100 million dollar guy in the NBA and thought he had a better shot at being the guy at UVA. Probably thought it would help him if he got out of the physical, plodding Big 10 and into the beloved ACC.

Doyel is crazy with those numbers. He was the best guard on a bad team that didn’t finish the season in the tournament.

It is not about talking about it and saying words it is about action.  Former players are upset that they no longer get tickets to games which is going to change now.  It is about not having former great players and teams back for games or not having a reunion weekend like they use to do.  According to John Laskawski that Mike has already is planning to have a golf outing this summer. for former players.  I will take the word of former players meaning plural over a guy on a message board.

As I am sure you know. Golf outings like that with invites to donors will drive money coming into the program. No matter whether you or I think much of the recent history most big time donors will pay big money to play gold with any of the legends of IU basketball too.

We thought that of Rob 3 years ago....just saying.

Unfortunately the mental toughness has not been consistent. I will take a guy who wants to be a HOOSIER all day long who has the ability. Will he make a consistent difference who knows. But I like his skill set and potential shooting ability and we need a core of hard nosed guys that will compete.

Watching a lot of games I just don't understand why so many players have trouble scoring inside right around the basket.  I see very few pump fakes to get the defense off balance or any real post moves.  it is just dribbling your defender down to the basket and then just throws the ball up hoping it goes in.  Players just aren't able or comfortable playing with their back to the basket.  The one of the best I have seen is a 6'6 player in Liddell of OSU.

I agree. If you watched the game closely today. TJD missed at least 10 shots in the paint today. Yes he got fouled on many of them but still had the ball in his hand a foot from the rim and could not get it to fall.
