I love listening to it every year. Such a great reminder to love the life we live and live it with as much passion as possible.
The 30 for 30 on him is one of my favorites

A coworker of mine is a huge UNC fan and sent me this article after the game. I particularly appreciated this excerpt about assembly hall, very complementary and pretty cool to read.
“The environment and atmosphere was exactly what the Challenge was supposed to create. Assembly Hall has perfected making Hoosier games the embodiment of a college basketball environment. They're not trying to emulate any professional arenas, and don't even pretend to do so. In the minutes before tipoff, the band took the court when the lights went down, with the band director standing directly above Jones Angell, waving his arms to conduct the fight song on the court.
Eight minutes into the game, the student section broke into a derogatory chant directed at Hubert Davis. The PA announcer immediately admonished them that continuation of the chant could result in a technical foul against the home team. The cheer ceased immediately and was not heard again.
Afterwards, ushers surrounded the crimson and cream IU logo at center court. Fans cooperatively lined up to take photos at midcourt, with one usher tasked with taking each photo. When the time allotted on the scoreboard clock for photos expired, everyone dutifully left the arena.
It was, quite simply, the kind of place where you want to watch college basketball. There aren't many arenas—or maybe arena is overselling it, maybe it's a gym—like this anymore.

For all the love Cameron Crazies get I really like this quote from the article
“Again, a road trip to a jacked-up Indiana was never going to be simple. And the experience will likely benefit the Tar Heels in the weeks to come; they won't play in any ACC arenas more hostile than what they saw at Assembly Hall”

While I don't think this game will be easy, I do think we are very well prepared and poised for a win.
Woodson saying that last night wasn't a statement win really gets to the heart of the team's mentality -- not going to get too high, not going to get too low -- just do what they've been training to do. And despite the subpar perimeter shooting %, the team still operates efficiently because it plays to its strengths. The team knows what it is and what it needs to do to be successful.
For the first time in a long while, I see an IU team that dictates the pace/rhythm of the game rather than its opponent. That is no small thing.
That used to be stated every year about MSU and Wisc. Nice we’re finally a team that dictates that

Can Woody put Ron Harper Jrs 3pt shot and celebration from last year on repeat at practice?

Laugh at me if you want, but this game is every bit as big as the UNC game. B1G opener on the road at a place we have struggled at for a number of years against a projected middle of the pack conference team. This is the kind of game we have to win if we want to be serious B1G title contenders.
Leary and Charlie Miller were talking last night on one of their post game shows and said if they had to win 2 games in December it’d be Nebraska and RU

Quote of the night from the North Carolina fan board:
"This team SUCKS! Nobody looks remotely like they want to be there on the court, doesn’t look like anybody likes anyone else, zero fire, zero fun, zero pride, zero anger for getting rolled. Just slog and mope and pout like a bunch of no talent no heart no pride no teamwork soft loser pussies."

I am sure it will be hard for both teams to come out with a lot of energy with that game time and the day after Thanksgiving
Plus JSU spent Wednesday night playing UM so only 1 day for rest/travel

I am sure Kansas will play much differently at Allen Fieldhouse.
Probably but after seeing their bigs I think TJD and Malik dominate

Grady Dick is Kansas’ only offense in this game
Not super impressed with Kansas. They don’t play much defense

Love JH reaction in the handshake line like he has no ownership of the behavior🙄 How about leave the line and address the issue? I always thought highly about Crean leaving the handshake line to chew Vic a new one after a late game dunk.

I was leery of UM ranking after the EMU game. I’m not buying they are top 25 currently

Didn’t realize how early this game is. 6 pm? I’ll have to stay off the forums and social media until I get the kids to bed.
With Thanksgiving break starting will students be present tonight?
