  1. What is a dead period? During a dead period, all in-person contact between college coaches and recruits is strictly prohibited, meaning coaches are not able to talk to recruits on-campus, at their high school, at sports camps or even when running into them while out. While this is the most restrictive of all the recruiting periods, athletes and coaches are still allowed to communicate via phone, email, social media and other digital communication channels.
  2. Wow!....What a cool story, jumping from NAIA to D1, if it pans out! He's a 6' 10" kid from LaGrange, IN.
  3. Lol Actually it didn’t, but that was my best attempt of that 70’s game show “Concentration” using memes. I’m done. 🤪
  4. Please for the love of god get someone to lock down dudes/dorks like this. I agree with everything you said, with the exception of the bolded. Look, like I said, It couldn’t stand watching that guy and how showboated and carried on. Quite honestly, I read it as something much more personal and judgmental because of his outward appearance. JMO You may have not intended it that way, I don’t know, but my response was because of that. Yes, I totally agree, we need to desperately find those type of skilled assassins like that. I absolutely love the unique, international aspect he brings to American NCAA BB. I can just do without his boastful antics.
  5. Agree, BDB….. I know this a free board and opinions are well, opinions,…..but man you can really tell the character of some of these guys on here by their carefree, bold comments about players. I will be honest, I couldn’t stand watching Tominaga’s cocky play as he sliced up every IU defender. Though I don’t care for that kind of showboating after he scores, however, the most impressive thing about him was he could back it up. If he wore an IU jersey I would welcome him with open arms. He plays with heart, passion and toughness, something we need a lot of.
  6. .....don't forget, for a big man, he shoots free throws pretty well. Well, he's had a lot of practice. lol
  7. I can’t believe how much Braden Smith gets away with using his forearm to shove off his defender. He does it all the time. I saw it several times vs. Tenn.
  8. I sure would like to find a post game from the coaches and players…
  9. ….I bet you a “dollar to a donut” that Coach Woodson forgets and calls him Bryan! lol
  10. Heath Kizer @HeathKizer2024 Beyond grateful for the opportunity. Thank you to everyone who helped make my dream a reality! Thrilled to be a part of the Indiana University football family. Just getting started… Go Hoosiers! I'm sure he's a PWO, but I sure love seeing an Indiana kid get a chance to play big boy ball. He's from North Central HS.
  11. Cal said is team is young and when he looked back on mistakes, it was freshmen.
  12. …that’s why I said interested and not contacting him. Just like we are all interested in him now, coaches seeing him, will definitely keep an eye on him hoping he goes to the portal.
  13. I can imagine with this performance he will get many schools interested.
  14. Can we get Gohlke from Oakland as a grad transfer? Good grief….. he is insane!!!
  15. After this past season, Cupps could be labeled a “good/average” bench pg.
  16. Agree…. That “good bench guard, but not good enough for IU” evaluation, sounds similar to how IU felt about Braden Smith. He never got an IU offer. Pretty sad. I wanted him at IU when he was at Westfield.
  17. Exactly,…. any/most major D1 schools wouldn’t do what the IU administration/BoT’s is allowing. There is something to this situation. It just seems “bought” with conditional promises…. JMO
  18. I hate that they are willing to take a huge risk/gamble for another year under Woodson. I totally feel the Coach Woodson and Co. is currently “On the Clock” as we speak. Yes, it’s been said that he’ll be back, but I feel it’s condition Al. JMO… I really feel IU doesn’t want to be associated with the term, “We don’t eat our own!” Here’s my take,…..because he’s the former IU great Mike Woodson and earned back to back NCAA births his first two years is the only reason he’s getting a fourth year,…..”conditionally”. The donors have upped the money to land the players Coach Woodson needs. Also being able to keep players like MM, MR along with already committed TG and AL will help sell player commitments to Coach Woodson. If key IU players decide hit the portal and Coach Woodson isn’t able to land an upgraded roster through the portal,…..even with more money to throw around, I don’t think he survives the summer. JMO The boosters/donors aren’t going to want to throw more money without landing some top level, desperately needed position players. Like I just said, if Coach Woodson doesn’t lock down and create a dramatic roster improvement through retention of players and the portal, he probably doesn’t see the 2024-2025 season. JMO
  19. This is encouraging….…. However, I wonder why the Indiana Jerseys and numbers are omitted? Are the sponsors below part of their NIL deals?
  20. Well, it has worked out pretty well for Wisconsin after Bo Ryan retired and former assistant Greg Gard was eventually hire as the head coach.
  21. My all time favorite band is Pink Floyd… I literally listen to them every day at some point. This is how I’m feeling now about the state of the program. The first part of “Hey You” really resonates with me right now…lol enjoy…. Hey You Song by Pink Floyd Hey you, out there in the cold Getting lonely, getting old Can you feel me? Hey you, standing in the aisles With itchy feet and fading smiles Can you feel me? Hey you, don't help them to bury the light Don't give in without a fight….
  22. ….and so it begins, the first domino starts to fall……
  23. yep….and an average % of shooting “3 Balls”….lol
