So now that I’m retired, I’m sitting here thinking maybe I should start rambling around the country visiting family, friends and country. Of course this song immediately jumped into my head!

So, I was talking with my Russian friend today about the Olympics, and she told me the story of Vic Wild who recently won Bronze! An American who married a Russian girl (now divorced) Vic Wild now competing for ROC. Pretty amazing story, seeing as he competes for ROC it’s no surprise I never heard of him before. We are just so consumed with ourselves!

At the family cabin in Wisconsin the island in front of us had a Bald Eagle nest! This was back in the days of DDT! The Audubon Society decided they HAD to climb the tree and count/measure the eggs? The parents abandoned the nest and the eggs never to return, thank you environmentalists for protecting us?!!!!??

Definitely not bald, I’m going with Golden.

So I’m sitting on the porch enjoying a beautiful Georgia day at 68!! It was 70-80 yards out and my eyes aren’t what they used to be, but pretty sure an eagle was flittering around in the thick of my woods! Maybe caught a squirrel? Eagles are such awesome birds, hope he stays local!

Believe me I was never close! But I still remember learning to duck gates, something I still find myself practicing 40 years later! Practicing to duck behind corners because those bamboo poles hurt like hell! Now they learn to punch the breakaway poles! The times have changed!!

I do believe that is the first one I ever got right! Time to buy a lottery ticket!😀

I remember years ago going to Canada on a business trip. Turned on the TV and there was news of a trucker blockade on the provincial border. I thought at the time why is this not even mentioned on American news? Then I thought, we are just so consumed in ourselves. Glad the world is shrinking!!!

Watching short track skating, in spite of the fact that I have worked many years with people from China I respect. I’ll leave it at that! Feels like watching Big officiant!

Timing? I got my hand slapped (verbally) because I was a spoiler! I messaged last night my girl in Russia congratulations for how well the ROC had done. Damn time changes?!

Two things I do religiously when I leave to go visit my grand babies, shut the power off to the water heater and the pump! Remember as a kid, the neighbors coming home to a heated pool in their basement!

I remember sitting with an older friend at an event where two different churches got together to accomplish something special. I hadn’t seen him in quite awhile, he told me about his knee replacements, said he wished he had done it sooner! Praying yours goes as well as his!

So with all of the advertisements about Verizon’s new ultra 5G Wi-Fi have you Really cut the cord yet? (By the way I’ve had ultra 5G Wi-Fi by T-Mobile for a year now and love it) There are just more options now!
