I know I was just having fun with them! But they know the real reason is the SEC knows how to thumb their nose at the NCAA better than anyone. They complain even their teams can’t compete with Alabama when it comes to recruiting. Will be interesting to see if NIL significantly changes things!

Sorry, I question the best conference comment. My SEC friends were going off about how awesome the SEC is and I reminded them that with few exceptions, SEC teams can’t beat Alabama either. I think their butt cheeks tightened up. 😂

Okay, first off I’m probably about the least qualified poster on the board, but I’m still sticking my neck out! First the revamped team and new coaching staff had 2 months to prepare. Come November I suspect much will be different, hopefully we will be very pleasantly surprised! Second, while I’m actually glad the team got to go up against Mega BC, I think the teams were horrible matchups for each other! So taking any one players performance and projecting that for the season is questionable. They won’t see that kind of team again this year.

Okay left my fair share of roadkill behind, deer being the primary. However, what instance just about stopped your heart? Mine was driving a county road past fields in the dark, when suddenly there was a Pheasant in my windshield right in front of my face. He was flying just above my headlights so I never saw him until he was above my hood. Luckily he didn’t come through but the shield was shattered. Had to stick my head out the side window to drive home with my heart beating about 200!

Had to swerve hard this morning to miss one of those suckers!

The family cabin up in WI is great for that. Just grab a coffee and sit on the front porch to watch the storm come across the lake.

Living in Georgia with Tech grads, Georgia grads and Auburn grads in my small department. Also in my time have dealt with Florida grads and just about every SEC school grad you can name. I’ve worked with people that had athletic scholarships, or their children did, in a Half dozen of the schools. Even the Tech grads make fun of their Athletics! No thanks! My reality, is the Auburn grads are actually better than the vaunted Tech grads!
