Oh I don’t disagree with you. I realize it’s the new normal. I meant to say our AD better get it figured out or we will be buried like you mentioned.

Isn’t it more Mitch than your AD?  I ve heard him say some pretty bad stuff about NIL.  Not saying I don’t agree with him on his stance but I’m also not the President of a university.

Good coaches make mistakes all the time on players. I don't think Dennis is what the Hoosiers need. He is Rob 2.0.

If he commits to the Hoosiers I will support him and hope he helps them win games. I just don't think he will move the needle as far as wins go. He is a good defender which is nice, but while they had problems defending wing players they had bigger problems making their 3s. Dennis doesn't help their shooting AT ALL, in fact he is a detriment when it comes to shooting.

I’ll support him and I trust Woody but Dennis doesn’t move the needle much nationally.  Hope he proves me wrong, if he even commits.

    Lighten up Francis

I just pointed out DD had talked about it.
    compare Sampson with Self

At least IU took responsibility and cleaned house…..KU gave Self a lifetime contract

I’m not sure I’m the one who needs to lighten up, again I thought this was an IU board.  So sick of seeing Purdue garbage on here.

Well then I’d say I’m very concerned about the future of this program if less than a month into the off season Woodson’s already finalized his starting lineup. Any good coach would tell his players time is earned, not given.

Agreed!  Starting spots should be earned and that’s not to say Race couldn’t or won’t earn a spot but if someone jumps him they should play more.

I watched some highlights from when he played at tennesee whatever for his dad.  He was aggressive and looking to create his own shot and drive the ball.  He also looked about 25lbs lighter then.  I think losing his dad took the player heart out of him.  I think he gained weight and was never the same.  Was he ever going to be all B1G no, but i did expect the attacking looking for his shot player he was who averaged 17ppg in his last gig.  He just mostly stood around looking for a wide open shot. And then never looked interested in the game when on the bench.

Wish the best for the kid.

Yeah the kids been through a lot.  Hope he can find his way.

Why didn’t CMW have Rob go off all year?
why did MP tell the players to miss FT?

    practice is coaching time

    games are for players

Coaches don’t do anything during games?? Adjustments are one of the most important parts of coaching and that happens in games.  Painters a decent coach but chokes in the tournament every year. He’s Keady 2.0 and that’s hilarious

Of course nobody knows what would’ve happened lol. But not having the chance to see what could’ve happened is the toughest pill to swallow.

I always laugh at the “Purdue is always going to be Purdue which equals little brother to IU.” The little brother/big brother comments are silly IMO.  For being “little brother” I think we’re doing just fine tbh.

You realize this is an IU fan board correct? Purdue is and always will be the little brother. The “IU sucks” chant when playing St Mattress of the Sleepy is laughable.  The constant saying that IU fans live in the past and then bringing up all of purdues victories before WW2 is laughable.  Purdue is the same as political promises to me.

Yeah, this is BS. The main difference is IUWBB has created a foundation of success and stability and IUMBB has not. Moren is probably as close to IU head coach for life as there is. That being said, blue blood wbb programs have to be sniffy around seeing what it would take to get her. It would be a real shame (and a huge mistake) as IU could remain a top tier program for many more years since she's only 52. The crowds they have been getting the past couple of years show that fans will come if given a winner.

    Bingo!

I think we can use the PU question about Tom Crean here. They like to argue he never did anything without Wade, but what has Painter done without Carsen Edwards?

The biggest things they have going for them regarding Pack is that they’re close to home and will give a guard the green light and never switch it.

But but but if Hummel didn’t get hurt….. that’s their excuse every time.  Nobody knows what would’ve happened if he didn’t get hurt and never will.  Purdue is always going to be Purdue which equals little brother to IU.

Don’t know exactly what their roster situation is aside from Chandler going pro but I’d be surprised if they have as glaring of a need at the guard spot as Purdue after we lose Ivey, Hunter, and Thompson. Not sure there are many advantages to picking UT over Purdue tbh.

More exposure at UT.  SEC brand is a ton better than the big ten as far as style of play.

So with Sparks staying at BSU, are the only three guys we have seen IU reported as having contact with still McNeil from WVU, Roberts from Bradley, and Key from ISU?  That’s from memory. I can’t even remember where I read all those names.

Sparks is staying at BSU now? I didn’t know he stayed.  Happy for Lewis so he has something to build around

Hmm I don't think I have seen anyone claiming he is going to be some savior. Everyone is just excited to see what he can bring to the Hoosiers.

Maybe savior wasn’t the right word but I’m not sure he’s a starter right away.  Admittedly I’ve only watched a handful of games.  @IUFLAsays he’s seen him go off offensively so maybe he can be the starter next year
