Montverde has a lot of offensive fire power. JHS is asked to be more of a facilitator, floor general, defender type.
But I've seen him go into full offensive mode...he can score when he's asked to...
That’s good to know, I’ve just watched a handful of games so I shouldn’t really say what I just did on the above post.

Watching Hood-Schifino in these couple of games he looks like he is going to be a good one. Didn't score a lot, with the players on that team he really doesn't have to, but he had eight assist and looks strong defensively.
I think he’s going to be very good not sure I buy him being the savior as some claim. Hope he has that scoring in him when we need it though.

JHS misses front end of 1 and 1 while up 1 with 30 seconds left
I’m hoping it was a fluke. Nailed the next 2.

Majority of These guys aren’t built like high schoolers at all. Wow, these are MEN! I’m not sure we had anyone over 160 lbs on our team my senior year.

JHS looks pretty solid, Gribbs Lawhorn on the other hand does not.
Gibbs hasn’t looked good at all. Very short and frail.

I hope he doesn’t lose this game, I remember posters saying we want winners on the roster….🤣😂

Just my 2 cents but the improvement of Xavier Johnson from November to March is what I'm showing. If anything Ivey regressed down the stretch where we played out best hoops of the year in BTT.
Or like others have said any number of NBA guards if the kid really needs video.
Very good point, I promise I’m not Coach Shep in disguise

Purdue makes a ton of sense. Immediate starting position and green light to run the team. Purdue is hurting at PG.
This is exactly what scares me. He can watch video of Ivey and see what he will be able to do. Who is he going to watch at IU from a guard standpoint??

I saw on another site that he's an option. Just a soph. Averaged 17 ppg and 42% from 3. An Indiana kid. He's an upgrade to Rob.
Seems to be Purdue bound, hope it’s all not true. Would love to have him

Between the portal, social media and how the game is actually played on the court makes it less interesting to me. I know it has happened for me on other sports as well. I use to watch a lot of the NBA but today will only watch some Pacer games but nothing else. I hope that I don't get to that point with the college game.
I never missed a college game in the 90s, use to stay up and watch the west coast games too. Game isn’t played the way I like anymore. It’s still enjoyable but you don’t see a lot of growth from players anymore because they leave before they can.

All of this stuff is making it harder to enjoy the college game.
It really is, for me anyway. I use to love as a kid when someone would graduate I always wondered who would take their role. Then the next year would come and someone would fill in and hardly miss a beat. Good old days are gone though. No more waiting for anyone.

That’s right, forgot about that

I didn’t expect that angle of the portal. Coach on his way out pushes a star player to another team.
I absolutely hate this portal thing. Ridiculous in my opinion.

Anyone think Bruce Weber angle of telling Pack to go to Purdue is the obvious play here? Hopefully we have a chance here but things seem like they are headed North. No sources just a gut feel after following recruiting for 30 years.
Exactly what’s happening. He’s visiting Purdue this weekend or next weekend

Only connection to Purdue for pack is Weber referring him to there. Not sure Pack would want to play in the big ten especially the way the game is played nowadays.

Exactly. All the message board respect in the world to a couple of our friends but Purdue isn't the goal. Loyer will be a fine player. Might be a thorn in our side....or he might not.
Morton, Newman were big misses (so we've been told)....and of course Mr. Universe Ivey all still meant no Big Ten Titles and an ousting by Peacock Mustache guy.
The Purdue team this year had so much potential and I think someone read his own press clippings and got the big head. I also think the seniors, if they were to be completely honest, got sick of hearing about Ivey every time Purdue was mentioned. Can’t say I blame them either. Think there was a real divide in that locker room the later the year went on.

Yeah lots of change again thought this is actually less chaotic than last off season. 🤣
Pretty confident this staff will find the talent. Shannon Jr and Clark are 2 potential additions in the near term.
And Kofi is probably back again.
I thought I read Kofi was looking into agents?? Maybe I didn’t

I would take JG the last 10 games over Race's last 10 games. I feel like JG was getting better and having more impact per game minute than Race was toward the end of the season. Felt like everyone was posting for JG to get more and more time while Race seemed to get more and more worn out.
Amen to that. Race was awful especially the last 4-5 games.
