  1. Yeah, there ain't too much prettying up you could do to Jess in the first place, but you'd think he could get a deal for a freebie from Burlington or something...
  2. Boo Buie had a nice half...but I've seen him have those before and totally suck in the 2nd half...
  3. Geez...Jess Settles looks like he has a flask hidden under the desk...tie loose, glassy eyes...
  4. Wildcats by 13 at the break... Bet the Sparty locker room will be a pleasant place...
  5. Track meet so far, with Northwestern up 25-21...that would seem to play into Izzo's hands to me but Robbie Hummel says Collins wants to run more this year... Sparty has had their chances but are missing a lot of shots...for smart kids, Northwestern makes some dumb basketball plays... The Berry kid (freshman) looks good for the Wildcats. He can shoot...
  6. Michigan St in Evanston to meet the Wildcats in what should be an interesting game...
  7. I'll tell you this, Ron Harper Jr will be in the conversation for B10 player of the year. And the Mulcahy kid has a bit of Brian Cardinal in him...
  8. Rutgers up on The Whinin Illini late by 8...
  9. I went over to The Redneck (Rupp) Rafters for a laugh this morning... The names they're mentioning to replace him are comical...Izzo? Yeah, good luck...Brad Stevens? Hehee... And then one of them said they didn't want Bruce Pearl because he's "slimy." Boy, if that isn't Jeffrey Toobin calling Paul Reubens a pervert... "Big Blue Nation Comedy" at its best...
  10. KU-TT was the extreme, but I see it in a lot of B10 and Big 12 games too... I watched a bit of Rhode Island-Davidson last night, and it was enjoyable to watch teams execute basketball plays. McKillop, who can coach by the way, drew up a beautiful play right before the half that Davidson executed perfectly and a kid named Lee (scrawny kid that can really stroke it) drained a 3 to give the Wildcats momentum going into the 2nd half...thing of beauty...
  11. She's got the compact. Goes shooting at her range twice a week. She's pretty proficient. And she has a concealed carry permit (Illinois). Both my wife and I have our LTCs for Texas. The laws here are funny. You have to read what a store or restaurant has posted before you can go in carrying. Some you can open carry, but not concealed carry, and others you can conceal but not open carry. Some prohibit both. I always make sure I know before I go somewhere, as I don't like leaving them in the car. I prefer the Glocks simply because of the reliability factor. I know they have their detractors, but most the people who I know personally that carry have a Glock on their hip.
  12. Per the Bossi article... "As good of a student as he is a basketball player, Washington isn't just saying that he will factor in academics. They'll absolutely play a role in his decision and teams have been making that a big part of their presentation to him." The main "business" at Purdue is extracting your arm from a cow's rectal orifice... 😉
  13. "I got to talk to the director of their business school and that was incredibly informative on a zoom call. They actually introduced me to three or four business students that are there at the school so that was great.” Someone needs to show him this... (Stanford was purposely omitted) 😉
  14. Not so good as a player/coach for the Royals though if I remember right
  15. Our Christmas present to the Percheron our daughter adopted from a kill pen...a blanket for those Chicagoland winters... This is costing her a good bit of money...he has serious hoof/ankle issues that could lead to him being put down. Plus $500 a month to board him. But I told her she did this out of the goodness of her heart, and it'll come back around to her... BTW, the pink wasn't my choice 😁
  16. The only MVP I know that even coached in college was Cousy... So that's my guess
  17. My middle daughter has an Smith and Wesson M&P Shield 9MM and likes it...She's around 5'4 and 105 lbs, but very wirey and strong for her size... My wife shot a ton of guns at our gun range, all makes and calibers, and chose the Glock 43X 9MM...She's 5'6 and around 130 lbs... 9MM in my eyes is nice for women because it has the power to put someone down but the kick isn't too bad...Ammo is hard to find almost anywhere...I go to https://ammoseek.com/ and have built up 1,500 rounds trying to keep it under .50 per round...
  18. I was gonna say what an a-hole he was... He once beat up a man who had 7 total missing fingers...hard to make a fist like that...
  19. Ding, ding, ding! We have a winnah! Link
  20. Nope...I was surprised at the answer... Hint: they were one of the 4 teams that beat us in 1987...
  21. I disagree...They call only the most egregious fouls, or fall for the old flop routine... They overlook defensive hand checking, over the back (Haarms, you goon), offensive players using their forearms to create space, and hooking with the elbow...
  22. No, not in Massachusetts...
  23. Dr James Naismith is correct...Good going! Minnesota is not...
