Injuries and other stuff can always happen but he's a fan favorite because he plays very hard and produces, great teammate and only 22 years old. I'm not a NBA guy in terms of projection...but I don't see any reason at all why he won't have a 10+ year career and when it's all said and done he'll have earned 9 figures plus. He'll only be 25 when he enters unrestricted free agent contract....that's when he'll get the big one if things stay the same.

I knew that if he could get his game to at least NBA starter level, he'd become a star. Has all the physical tools, but having the combination of being so intense on the court, but so engaging off of it makes him hard not to like.

Still hard to picture that he, OG and JMo were all in the same class.

  2. Kid is ridiculously talented and is all of what....19/20/21 years old?

The NBA has always drafted on potential.  Now, it's even moreso.  The days of every first round pick being expected to immediately contribute are gone.  These are (literally in some cases) kids.  They're going to need time to develop.

Well. I don't really know what to say. Other than when I got to Illinois, and she dished the Chicago Dog... all I could think is that this person orders an impossible burger at Burger King, every day.

Impossible burger, topped with kale and soy cheese.

Half the stuff on that list is f#&&%ng delicious. Sonoran Dogs, Chicago Dogs, Primanti Brothers Sandwiches.

And congratulations, author. You've successfully found a way to unite the cities of Cincinnati and Pittsburgh on something. I mean, other than mutually agreeing that both cities' MLB franchises suck. :coffee:

After spending about 10hrs over 3 separate days off finally got the heat in my car fixed. As always it was something dumb and cheap but I was forced to do some preventative maintenance so there's that.

So now that it's fixed I figure it will be a milder winter than predicted because that's how things go for me.

The car geek in me is curious.  What was it?

Skyline was a staple for me growing up and with son in Cincy now we visit a lot to skyline

As a non-native, I've learned to stay the hell away from Skyline/Gold Star debates.  I've seen political debates end less violently than those.

Do I break a golden or is adding elbow macaroni to chili ok? Wife got me hooked with that addition.

You'll never catch a sideways glance from a Cincinnatian for eating chili and pasta.  Might question why it's not spaghetti, but far from a strange concept.

A mound of shredded cheese equal to the size of the pasta, hot sauce and oyster crackers are required though.

    1lb ground beef

    1lb stew meat

    2 cans diced tomatoes

    2 cans tomato paste

    3/4 can tomato juice

Salt, pepper, cumin, chili powder, smoked paprika or paprika, cayenne

Fresh diced onion, green bell pepper, garlic, jalapeno.

I dont measure anything just guesstimate.  And if I smoke some pulled pork I substitute it in in place of beef.

That's pretty damn close to mine. I do throw in one small can of black beans, and instead of chili powder, I do one chopped chipotle with a heaping teaspoon of adobo.

And I won't deviate on this: hot smoked Spanish paprika. Gives enough heat that I skip the Cayenne, but it's a more "level" heat. Doesn't hit you all at once, but builds to a steady level.

If you're doing a paleo diet, watch the chili powder. Some brands include sugar.

Umm.  Maybe try to add some beans.  Like Kidney beans.  Or Kidney and Black beans.  Just a suggestion. I know some people don't care for beans in their chili. But I do.  Others like to top their chili with cheese or sour cream. And that's ok for them.  But not for me.

I don't share this opinion, but some people have a saying: if you know beans about chili, you know chili doesn't have beans.

Personally, I like it about 3:1 meat to beans.

I'm excited about this class so far, and the freshmen who are already on campus this year because I think that they represent a real culture change (along with Rob Phinisee and Race Thompson) I think we are seeing gym rats and workmanlike competitors who know how to play vs. athletes who can be taught how to play.

I'd venture to say that Geronimo is a little of both, and that's a good thing. Tremendous athlete whose game needs a little polish, but has that grinder's mentality and wants to be taught.

    Want to feel really old?

The Mavs play at Boston tonight. The last time the Mavs came to Boston without Dirk Nowitzki on their roster, Luca Doncic and Jayson Tatum were not even born yet.

And at that time, the Mavs were still owned by Ross Perot Jr, and Mark Cuban's net worth could still be measured in millions.
