I can't wait for college baseball season to start!! Just a little over a month away!

He was the best high school pitcher I've ever seen. He was NASTY on the mound. He's probably not a Friday night guy yet. Maybe a Saturday/Sunday guy. I think it'd be hard to keep a guy like him out of the weekend rotation if he's pitching well.

The WIC did this a few years ago when they added the schools from the West Central. They use a big/small division setup. They had a "conference championship" game as well with the rest of the conference playing a "playoff" game. They quit doing the title game already.

Curious to see what others think what Luke Hayden's role will be this year? Weekend starter? Bullpen?

I have no problem scheduling a series with Virginia. I'd personally rather see a series with another team but I don't get to choose.

Apparently UK passed on playing Texas or Gonzaga to play WKU.

He's the best PG on this team by a decent margin. He's not always making the best play. But he's aggressive and he wants to win. He's gotta stop picking up those cheap fouls. Some of his play reminds me of Yogi, yes I know he isn't as good as Yogi. Xavier gets us into the offense and gets things going.

I'm a WIC guy since I went to West Vigo and live in Terre Haute. The WIC is usually pretty good in baseball. Edgewood and Northview both won sectionals last year. West Vigo lost to Edgewood and Luke Hayden in the semifinal. WV returns almost 99% of their roster from a 23-7 team and an undefeated WIC season. Edgewood, WV, Northview, and Indian Creek should compete for WIC supremacy next spring. I'm ready for the 2022 season.

A's hired Mark Kotsay as their new manager yesterday. He was previously their third base coach.

Race Thompson. I thought he played extremely well. Did work on both ends of the floor.

Wow. 16% from 3 isn't what I expected. Stewart hit those two early and Phinisee hit one and I thought we were gonna shoot around 45-50% from 3 tonight. Boy, was I wrong. Definitely thought we were gonna lose when they got it to two. A win is a win no matter how ugly. Definitely got some stuff to build on.

There was an interesting stat about the Orioles payroll floating around Twitter during the season but I can't remember what it was. Most teams now have those big TV contracts paying them big bucks. If an owner can't afford a $100M payroll, maybe they shouldn't own a baseball team. They make a ton of money off tickets, merchandise, food and beer sales. Then the TV money comes into play.

I agree with you. Gotta get creative if the owner and front office aren't willing to spend money. I'd like to see MLB institute a salary floor around $100M. I think most teams can afford that these days. Oakland has a top 4 richest owner in baseball and he refuses to spend money on the team. I've heard they're talking about trading away numerous key pieces. Matt Olson being one of them. If you're an owner of a team and you aren't trying to win, you should be removed. You're in the business to win games and a chance at a championship. But it seems like most owners these days are only concerned with selling tickets and profit. I'm a Cardinals fan and I know they're definitely guilty of that.

Interesting approach. Not sure I'd trust the Reds brass to pull that off. Not a Reds fan but their FO has failed the last few years. I've actually thought they could have been really good the last few years but something just hasn't clicked. Maybe it's David Bell but apparently the FO loves him.

I'd feel much better if we did.

The AFC did the Colts no favors yesterday. At least the Colts have some games coming up that will hopefully clear it up a little bit.
