I'm on the peripheral but I work almost entirely in healthcare. Can't tell you the number of therapists, nurses, etc that I know and have spoken with these past couple of weeks....that go into nursing homes, ltc facilities, and of course hospitals constantly worrying about is this the day.

Yep. My wife is a therapist and she is the most stressed than I have seen her in the 10 years we have been married. She was in tears the other night.

Hearing from a good friend of mine. Despite announcing he will be back next year.  Is exploring the idea of filing the needed papers to enter the NBA draft !

That's all I have got for now, HSN.

I saw a video posted by Peegs and your BFF Rabjohns (😂) that he was always planning on entering the draft to get the feedback.

Plenty of time to put them up.  Wrigley field went unlighted for years.  Just saying.

Putting lights up at IMS has been discussed for years. I’d say it’s more likely to happen due to a) new ownership and b) the circumstances. Obviously any lights for this year would be the temporary kind.

It does stay light late that time of year, but you are still dealing with the issue that has always been there of turning 300,00 loose on the little town of Speedway late in the evening.  That was always a sticking point with the Hulman- George family. They tried to be courteous to the residents of the town.

Whatever happens I’ll be there in turn one when the green flag is waved.

It was a little over 100 heat index wise for the 100th. Can't be any worse than that.

    Edit-Found this online. Past 7 Aug 23rd high/low temps.

I remembered one around that time was awful. I couldn’t remember if it was 15 or 16. I was going to look that up later tonight. Thanks for saving me the work.

Sounds to me that "The Fan" is not much different than the NCAA.  Launch an investigation.  And nothing comes of it.  Or have I not heard an update into the Dakich investigation ?

The INDYCAR forum I lurk on has a whole Dakich thread going on their off topic forum. He is loathed in Indycar circles as well for comments he has made over the years.

  6. I texted the lady who cuts my hair to see if she could fit me in before shutting down, but she decided to shut down her shop early. I get my hair cut every two weeks. It’s going to be driving me nuts soon. I might have to buy my own clippers.

    Confirmed case Harrison County

My wife works in health care in Harrison County.  It’s definitely getting closer to home for me literally and emotionally with my wife’s job. She is at a nursing home so she should be safe with all the precautions they are taking, but still...

There are confirmed cases in Clark County where I work, but I teach so I’m out anyway. Still none as of yet in my home county.

Just received an email for the Superintendent of our schools and found out that 1 of the teachers at Ayden's elementary , one that he has lots of contact with has tested positive and is in ICU at Columbus Regional Hospital. This is the 1st case for Decatur County.

    Praying, friend.

Having a child with a very compromised immune system,  this virus has my full attention.  W

Yep. Little Keet doesn’t have a compromised immune system, but he has been hospitalized three times in about 1.5 years with pneumonia so we’re being extremely careful with him.

Lifting up a prayer now for you and your little man in this time to stay healthy and safe.

What area do you teach at?  I teach about 100 miles south of Chicago in a rural district in Illinois, and we're really up in the air on what is going to happen here.  Wouldn't be at all surprised if Illinois shuts everybody down like a few states have already done.

I'm in So Indiana, just across the bridge from Louisville.  Indiana has granted schools up to 20 wavered days.  We are using five the week after spring break.  We could end up using more based on how this all goes.
