You’re very welcome and I mean I think you’re absolutely spot on with what you said because if what were true above happened then we could ask Mark Cuban to tell al of his sponsors to sponsor our basketball team and they could all even be sponsored by the Dallas Mavericks. I will say I do wish Cuban was more involved in the basketball program in the sense of could you imagine Cuban asking Luka Doncic to come hang out with the kids for a long weekend and he gives him some sort of appearance fee. I mean kids eat that type of stuff up and it’s something I wish Indiana used to it’s advantage more. Or even for CMW asking some former players he coached. Now a days you just have to get creative in your recruiting. I mean think about how nba teams recruit free agents they always have the big boys come with them to the meeting. For Durant when he went to GSW even though it was the off-season curry, Thompson, and green all were at the meeting.

Message me please. Thanks! -
You make some very good points and I do agree.

The problem with this is that other schools also utilize this company so they don’t really have an advantage. They need cutting edge ideas on top of working with this firm IMO.

I’d almost wonder if partnering with Mark Cuban if it’s allowed.

So starting July 1st we all know players can jump on the NIL bandwagon. All top programs are gonna realistically be on an even playing field when it comes to this. I have an idea. Wouldn’t it be smart for a school like Indiana to hire a team of people that will get Indiana kids the absolute best NIL opportunities money can buy? In order to have a leg up on the recruiting trail there is no limits when it comes to what Indiana can provide their kids. Ideas? Suggestions?

You do know there is this thing called Covid where kids couldn’t visit campus and on top of that it’s literally a New staff. So what you expect kids to not a pick a team who was courting them for years and all of a sudden just pick IU because of Mike Woodson. The transfer portal worked because it was an even playing field and 2023 it’s an even playing field because those recruits are just now being recruited I fully expect for us to be out on any recruits from 2022 that are committing right now. The ones that aren’t committing until spring of next year you MAYBE have an argument. We aren’t going after low hanging fruit and if we were of course we would win the recruiting battle but we are gonna lose WAY more than we win on recruits because Coach Wood is trying to bring this school back to its glory days PERIOD. Go eat some chicken wings and enjoy life. -
Another addition to staff

Besides winning I wanna see some passion and excitement just like we see with IU football. I feel during CAM’s tenure everything was so boring and robotic. -

I’ll be honest I was skeptical of coach Woodson but he has been impressive. If he has success which I think he will then I could see him retiring here because I don’t think he would leave for greener pastures. So my question is how long does everyone think he could realistically be here for with him being in his early 60s? -

Yeah I’d say this site has pretty much pushed all insiders out. It’s pretty unfortunate when people do this for a free site. -

So interesting tidbit. I coached Jack Maher in boys volleyball with my wife in 6th grade before I became a basketball coach at the same school. He is the first professional player to come from that grade school in history. Joey which is starting on defense now did not get coached by either of us but the youngest one Josh was coached by my wife in 5th grade and at the time I asked their dad who was better at that age and he said josh was better than jack. So IU will be getting another Maher on defense in a couple of years when Josh goes to college I’d assume. -
