  1. As we are wrapping up the first month of the MLB season, just want to check in to see what place the cardinals are in?
  2. I think both teams did well and I do read the draft grades as well just as a general reference point. I was hoping the Bears were going to draft the center Bortolini from Wisconsin...so I was glad that if he didn't go to the Bears, the Colts got him. It is refreshing that both teams are happy with the draft. I think both teams have legit chance to make the playoffs next season. I did see the Bears just signed an undrafted free agent from James Madison, defensive lineman Jamree Kromah, I thought that was cool considering coach Cig coached him.
  3. From the draft grades I have seen, the consensus seems to be the Bears and Colts both received between B+ and A for the draft. I don't put much stock into draft grades for 2/3 years, but I do think both teams drafted well this week.
  4. I liked Luck, but thankfully Poles is better GM than Grigson was and will actually try to have an o-line that can protect him some, so Caleb will probably play more than 6 seasons. I’m not saying Caleb is going to be better but I think it’s silly to say he can’t possibly be better when he hasn’t taken a snap in the NFL yet. We’ll all find out in a few years.
  5. I have a feeling the NFL is going to have the Bears on hard knocks this season despite the Bears not wanting to do it.
  6. Yeah, if his medicals are fine, then he can be really good. I figured the Colts were taking defensive player in first round unless maybe Bowers fell to them.
  7. I like Byron Murphy more than Turner on defensive line...I know different positions, but I think Murphy has a ton of potential. But yeah....Turner was being mentioned as going to Atlanta at 8 by many mocks.
  8. Laiatu Latu to Colts...first defensive player taken in draft.
  9. I'm so happy they took Odunze and didn't trade back in that situation. Take the blue chip receiver to grow with Caleb. I'm all about the Bears reinforcing the trenches with 3rd/4th round picks and next years draft.
  10. Caleb Williams/Rome Odunze OH YEAH!!!!!!!! BEAR DOWN!!!!!
  11. Cubs win/sweep Astros 3-1! Pete Crow-Armstrong goes 2-4 with HR!! Go Cubs Go!
  12. I just accept that she will live to 128. she is like the female Montgomery Burns.
  13. Cubs win 4-3 despite Neris giving up one run homer in 9th. Cubs desperately need a closer. Go cubs go!
  14. I agree with you about the McCaskeys....as I think 99% of Bears fans do as well!
  15. I'm getting the idea that you don't trust the McCaskeys. 🤣
  16. They are asking taxpayers to pay half I believe…not sure that will fly. I am glad to get rid of the UFO toilet stadium whatever they end up doing.
  17. Not worried at all about that nonsense. That sounds like someone trying for clickbait. As a bears fan I’m excited for Caleb to be a bear and all of the bears fans I know are as well.
  18. Cubs win game two of double header 5-3. Brown is looking good pitching, I hope he can be a solid starter for cubs soon.
  19. Jed knew they needed more help in the pen coming into the season. Alzolay is not a closer. Cuas was terrible. He should have addressed this during the offseason. This is the stuff that drives me crazy with the Cubs...they are being cheap with the bullpen and they have money/assets that can at least somewhat remedy this, but Rickets/Jed holding onto those nickels.
  20. Cubs need to get a closer. Just gave up 2 run homer with 1 out in top of ninth...now down 3-2.
  21. I have so many autographed items...My last house had a full sized finished basement and I had items hanging up/on display everywhere. Now I have much less on display in my office. I was able to get a photo of me with Ryne Sandberg that we printed out and got him to sign on same series. Some of my highlights in my collection are: Jackie Robinson, Peyton Manning, Ernie Banks, Billy Williams, Ryne Sandberg, Cal Ripken Jr., Brooks Robinson, Fergie Jenkins, Bill Buckner (1st autograph ever when I was 5), Mark Grace, Walter Payton, Dick Butkus, Gale Sayers, Brian Urlacher, and way more...even Jimmy Buffett, John Mellencamp, and Dr. Seuss from non-sports 😄. To your comment about other people signing for a celebrity, I believe it was Pete Rose who said he used to hire little old ladies to sign his fan mail back in his playing days 🤣
  22. Cubs WIn today after heartbreaking loss last night. They win 2 out of 3 against Arizona, to complete road trip at 5-4. Raise the W flag!
