  1. and if Russ keeps having triple doubles and breaking records like this, he will continue to get the fan fair. Not sure if I'd go as far and say Giannis far in front. Harden has been getting major love for his scoring, major love.
  2. Nice, fair article. I think I caught JMV or someone on JMV, maybe a caller, say, "if we can get 14, 5, and 5 we will be thrilled." That's sort of like Evan Gordon coming in from an awful ASU team scoring 17 points a game and transferring here he's going to score more against tougher competition while doubling his career assists and rebounds per game lol. Realistically, he's replacing Evans next year, and really the rest of this year too.
  3. I honestly think the Pacers were too conservative here. What are they playing for here? A first round exit? Maybe get into 2nd round if Philly has serious chem issues or Khawi benches himself. I already brought up the 6 expiring contracts. Thad 30, Bogan 29, Collison 31, Evans, Oquinn 28, and Cory Joseph 27. From "sources" Middleton may be our guy in free agency but at what cost? Is it safe to assume that the Pacers are going to resign some of the veterans here at a discounted rate? Loyalty and stability, deep bench, mentors to younger guys. Love Thad, Bogan, and really Collison and Joseph have value and versatility as the young Holiday comes along. Evans hasn't produced what we hoped and O'quinn, unless his value is in the locker and practice, hasn't brought the toughness, etc he was billed up to. Can you resign Thad, Bogan, Collision, and Joseph on bargain deals and still bring in Middleton? Dropping Evans and Oquinn opens 17 mil, then shave another 4-5 off of the 4 vets and get Middleton for around 20? Wes Matthews. He's alright. I keep hearing people say 40% 3 point shooter. False. He's 32, been in the league 10 years now. He's done it one season and that was in 2010-11. His 37% on this season is respectable and hopefully with the Pacers ball movement and spacing, he can get better looks than he got in Dallas but that was getting kicks from Doncic. So don't get too excited, he doesn't sway the bar for the post season.
  4. How does Yogi find so much time to work on his game when he sits the bench so much?
  5. Is Rodney hood worth 4 dudesor is this a salary dump?
  6. He's killing it and would be a perfect Vic running mate. Will never happen, I know. I did say from the get go pacers would not get Conley. Horrible contract. It's chess out there for sure to get better in these small markets.
  7. I'm curious if the Lakers plan on running LeBron at the point if they really wind up trading away Rondo and Ball?
  8. Am I the only one that hopes ball gets three way traded to the Siberian tigers? Poor kid. From all accounts his mom is a saint. Dad
  9. Melo is still out there too. Lakers are putting literally every chip on the table, as they should. They will refill the team off waivers.
  10. I'm talking about this year. Jordan will be on waivers soon.
  11. How about a frontcourt of LeBron Anthony Davis and DeAndre Jordan.
  12. So if DeAndre Jordan gets bought out my bet is he goes to Houston with CP3, they'll put their beef to rest and Chase a championship. Or lakers.
  13. Knicks just took themselves out of the ad talk I wonder what Vegas is saying now?
  14. Will the Pacers get the Disabled Players exception next year? From what I'm reading, John Wall for instance, the Wiz can use 8.6 million this year. I don't think the Pacers want to get better this year.
  15. As is, imo, you hold par with the big 3 and let those 2 develop more while Vic is healing up and go all in on 2020-21. Will Holiday be good enough to be the lead point by then? Bojan is about to turn 28, he's versatile, tough, can shoot. Probably need another guy that can do Reddick things from outside and hope Turner and Sabonis are the best front court tandem in the league.
  16. Khawi got paid full salary last year. Now that is b.s.
  17. Wondering about a 3 way trade in all of this?
  18. Another reason I'd attempt to package him for AD, though pels won't because he will not extend.
  19. Definitely. I'd love him back honestly. I think he has grown up in many ways. Not that Larry legend doesn't deserve majority blame, but no reason to beat the dead horse.
  20. All I'm saying is if the Lakers, who it is now widely reported is the only team he'll extend with, best offer is a combination of ball(cancer), kuzma, Ingram, and a late pick, why would Danny Ainge let them fleece him of a future star in Tatum, nice bench pieces with playoff experience and 3 first round picks. That's by far and away by at least 2 times a better deal than anyone else could offer. That's why I'm saying Ainge has never lost a trade and probably won't this time either, whether he gets AD or not.
  21. Celtics do have to be aggressive if they want him bad enough. Horford is 32 and Hayward may never be Hayward of old and that contract. I'd be keeping Tatum over anyone on the roster. Jmo
  22. History says they won't get the haul you speak of. Khawi top 5 and danny green vs derozen top 20 and a late pick Pg top 15 vs at the time oladipo and sabonis probably top 75 and top 200. Kyrie top 12 vs a broke down version of IT and correction nets 1st rounder
  23. Tatum would be off the table. His ceiling seems higher than Gordon. Jmo
