  1. not sure how their playing style fits with the bully ball Rutgers plays that has made them semi successful.
  2. Dream would be a rim protector with some outside game. Wish would be a rim protector or someone with outside game What we will probably get is someone like this guy. Just a big body for 5 minutes a game. We dont have many minutes to sell. Ballo 25, MR 10...? for the 5. For the 4 you have MR at 20, MM 5-10, Goode 5-10
  3. That’s what I mentioned in my post.
  4. half this board is speculative. I am just saying Walmart and FedEx are going to be around a lot longer than Ken Nunn.
  5. yah, they really aren't referring to Brandon Miller and Darius Miles.
  6. This may not seem like much now, but in 10 years where does IU stand to the likes of corporate NIL deals in bigger cities?
  7. It will be interesting to see how much MP changes strategies throughout post ice cream boy.
  8. I agree with this to an extent, but I dont want to rebuild a roster of 6 guys from the portal every year. In state kids especially with the level of talent that Sisley has, are the type to build around and less likely to transfer generally speaking. In state/home connection, with PT, with $$$. No reason to go somewhere else. This year we have 3-4 starters from the portal. I think we hit homeruns, but I cant see that happening every year. Sisley and Sisley type players would bring a bit more stability. Yes you could say... what about CJ Gunn. And I would say... well Gallo came back to possibly come off the bench, and Leal came back for 5 minutes a game.
  9. Initially I thought Anderson. But there's something to be said about an in state kid and the glaringly awesomeness potential of Goode torching Illinois.
  10. you could be right, but i think we look at it in a vacuum and it's coincidental that IU WBB is becoming good, and Clarke came through as a generational talent at the same time. I dont think women's BBall is soaring because of the men's NIL
  11. It will depend on match ups and foul trouble situations. I think he can get 10-15 at the 4 and 5-10 at the 3. It would be hard to keep someone on the bench if he is shooting 38% from 3 on 5-8 attempts/game. Line up of Rice, Carlyle, Goode, MM, Ballo seems tasty to me. I would want to see that at least 10-15 a game.
  12. We will find out more on Thursday during his visit. PT vs team success and $ <--- guessing IU can put together a better NIL deal #30 vs # 20 business school Shrews vs IU family connections
  13. its not hard to find irony. Kinda like I'm sure Illinois passed on a guy who could have played all of last season, but instead picked up Shannon instead.
  14. would it help any more than Matt Roth being a head coach in Fort Wayne? probably too de minimis
  15. I'm not so sure it's regressing as much as it how much and what Purdue needed him to do.
  16. I don’t recall anyone locking someone that hasn’t committed… I recall them saying the visits went really well. but my main thought was… this isn’t even an insider on a board. This is a verified twitter account saying he has committed when no one else has. Even the massive unverified IU fan accounts are hush.
  17. no counter. I just dont really recall more than maybe 5 kids transferring mid-season this year.
  18. I see that as a win win for the player. Sounds like a favor type of scholarship. Season is already down the drain if the player is needed. Still lost games, but at least the kid made some NIL money and went to school for free. I am absolutely not against using it. Take a flyer on someone, but all scholarships don't need to be filled just to fill them for the optics to appease the fan base.
