Agree with all that, but he needs to focus on shooting, and become a legitimate 3pt threat. That’s what we need….forget about taking the ball to the hoop.

I agree completely his next evolution needs to be shooting more and recognizing he is a scoring option and be comfortable and frankly excited about it.

Gunn has a lot more upside than Leal ever will.

Leal belongs in a lower level like Ball State. Somewhat a decent defender, a liability when driving to the basket.

If Leal sees too much play time you can throw another season away.

Sorry but that is crazy, Leal was one of our best defenders.  He kept his man and ball in front of him way more than any bench player would have on the roster this year.  Kid has a high BB IQ which is what we need on this team.

Most folks think if you’re lacking throw money at it. Meanwhile coaches at small town universities create a real fundamental foundation and get a leg up by actually developing players and evolving the strengths of their program.

When the money runs out or there is a lapse in talent, your weakness gets exposed and your back to dumpster fire.

Imagine IU spending loads of money buying as much talent as possible to try and win the national championship they gave away when firing a guy over phone calls and weed.

Money pouring in at IU is nothing new. But a coach like Teri Moren needs very little in comparison to sustain a competitive edge. She has a culture and program established.

Maybe they could just pay the fans some name image likeness funds to not boo Woodson out of town.

Look at Kentucky and their lack of success over the years churning the roster each year for the most part

"Despite a disappointing 2023-24 season, Indiana basketball coach Mike Woodson will return next season, an IU athletic department source told IndyStar."

Indiana’s men’s basketball program is retaining head coach Mike Woodson for the 2024-25 season, an IU Athletics spokesperson confirmed to the Indiana Daily Student on Wednesday. The Indianapolis Star first broke the news.

It was all background, but they wouldn't report it if it wasn't a reliable source. No way this happens without Dolson's approval or heads would roll (I'd hope). Note that it was an IU Athletics Dept source.

The athletic source was QB who is acting like he is the AD.

And I’d suggest a thorough upgrade of refs, which should be possible in light of the big ten TV cash cow.  Otherwise, viewers will prefer watching better basketball in the SEC, Big East, ACC and Big 12.

I would like to see a big resource pool of refs for each P4 conference where they all do multiple conference games.  The BIG needs more exposure to refs outside the BIG and potentially vice versa for other teams so we can get a more consistent experience across the NCAA games.  If not that require them all to be full time refs and pay them appropriately for that full time commitment to your point and get them to align with other conferences somehow.

7 new faces sounds better than running back any version of this.

Problem is last year this staff couldn’t close any players in the portal.  More NIL isn’t a guarantee of anything.  I don’t trust them to close anything but the trash cannon another bottle of wine.🍷

  7. If Galloway is out he is our spark plug and general.  Unless good XJ shows up I think we lose unfortunately.  He has been that important during the 4 game run.

We need good XJ to show up but Trey plays fast and when XJ plays fast usually bad things happen.

I had a torn meniscus last fall and I could still dunk from the free throw line. 🙂

My kid played on a torn meniscus all year on her college team.  Surgeon said there is a minor risk but odds are you’ll be fine.  She has surgery after the season.  Probably depends on how bad the tear is.
