I think we’re gonna have to live with plays like that bungled fast break. It’s a trade off I can live with if he produces like what he gave us in the first half (8/5/1 on 4/5 shooting with 1 TO). Plus that first step burst is going to be big when the offense slows down and we need someone to create.

Aggressive X can be a difference maker

Not beyond what’s probably already known. His visit went well apparently, there’s no clear favorite, Woody has been involved in his recruiting closely, etc. But the biggest thing to me is that Kenya is the lead on him. And to be honest, I just have a ton of faith in him closing a wide open recruitment right now.

Kid is a stud. Lock him up baby

I’ve been a huuuge fan of this kid for a while now. I’ve consistently said I thought he’d be Mr. Basketball when it’s all said and done and I stand by it. I watched his sophomore games early in the pandemic and did a write up on page 1 if anyone is curious. This kid is fearless. He seems to play better in high pressure moments. Yeah I get that he doesn’t have ideal size but he has a level of ball skill and aggressiveness that is really impressive. I know he wants an IU offer. And imo it would be a huge mistake not to extend

Do you expect an IU offer soon? Am hoping we get out early and strong on him and Hooks..

I’m with you here. It’s part of the reason I’ve been talking up Leland. He showed out against the best teams in Indiana over the winter but was getting no love.

I've been preaching the gospel on this kid for a long time now!! He is the truth. Plays with an attitude and swagger, and it's clear his scoring ability will translate to the next level. These Indy kids play so much of a tougher schedule than I think people give them credit for too. I posted this write-up on another site a few months back cause I saw he was getting no love.

If I could I would put the crystal ball in for Adam Silver and Rod Strickland right now. It’s not worth it
