  1. Let's compromise and give both teams a loss.
  2. If you click on his name in the Box, it says he's a Junior. I would say ESPN screwed something up.
  3. My wife tells me women are tougher than men.
  4. But, that was at home. On the road, we are destined to shoot 19%, including 2-37 from 3. We will be outrebounded by double digits and give up 33 offensive rebounds to Nebraska. The good new is we will only have 3 turnovers. The bad news is one of those will be a shot clock violation on the last possession of the game and we lose by 1. Final score 31-30.
  5. The rule is the ref has to touch the ball. 99.99999% of the time this requires spotting. But, technically he just has to touch.
  6. Steelers huddle. "Let's not cover Kelce this time and see what happens."
  7. The upcoming game will get ugly. Ben's career is going to end with a thud.
  8. Man, how do you do a fake punt, get the first down, and then settle for a field goal a minute and a half later.
  9. If this game was a racehorse, it would be euthanized.
  10. Better than John Boy or Jim Bob Walton, I guess.
  11. Bisaccia seems like a really cool dude. Hope he gets that job full time.
  12. Rant time. I'm already tired of hearing about the inadvertent whistle in the Bengals / Raiders game. Let's set aside for a minute that it had no bearing whatsoever on the result of the play. But, the idea that it cost the Raiders the game is just sour grapes. Charles Woodson (a former Raider, I get it) said on TV this morning that, in his mind, the game is ties right now. Really? Let's look at why that is an absurd statement. For starters, the rule, if enforced, says the play does not happen and the down is replayed. Who is to say that the Bengals don't still score a touchdown? And, here's the kicker. They may have taken enough time off the clock in doing so that the Raiders would not have had time to come down and score their own touchdown at the end of the half. The Bengals scored with 1:51 left in the half on the controversial play. The Raiders scored with 13 seconds left in the half. If the Bengals run even one more play, let alone 3 or 4, the Raiders do not have those 13 seconds. Their touchdown does not happen in that scenario. And, even if the Bengals had to settle for a field goal, If you take the Raiders TD at the end of the half off the board as well, and give the Bengals a FG, the Raiders are down 10 on the last drive of the game, not 7.
  13. Farm Bureau had a series called 'Indiana Legends' back in the 70's & 80's. This was my favorite.
  14. Regarding the small market thing. My son asked me last night what time slot he thought the Bengals would get next weekend. I told him Saturday afternoon again because Cincy and Tennessee (assuming KC beats Pittsburgh) are both small markets. I went on to try to show him how the teams from the bigger markets would get the prime-time slots and found myself realizing there were a lot more small market teams in the playoffs than big market teams. The entire final four in the AFC will be small market regardless of who wins tonight. That said, the Bengals will almost assuredly get the Saturday afternoon slot again. The NFC rep that wins Monday will most definitely play next Sunday. If seeding holds otherwise, that will be against Green Bay. That leaves probable matchups of KC / Buffalo and Tampa Bay against Dallas (again, assuming seeding holds). KC & Buffalo will be prime time because of the star power. The seeded NFC matchups have both a big market and star power in both games. Bengals v Titans has the least to offer from a viewership standpoint.
  15. Allen may have been trying to throw that away.
  16. Yeah. The defensive line got decimated in this game. They were able to hold on tonight, in part because they went out in the 3rd & 4th quarter. Derrick Henry is back and may go for 200+ next week if a couple of those guys don't play.
  17. Bengals play that way next week and Ten beats them by 3TDs.
  18. No worse than the timeout they gave the Raiders after the Bengals had already snapped the ball. Video evidence supports the ball had been snapped. Bengals had a big play and a roughing the passer wiped out.
  19. If the Bengals don't score on this possession, they will lose.
  20. Bengals on their heels, but Raiders O-Line keeps holding.
