Are basketball players divas? Notre Dame football has 19 commits in their class. Indiana football has about a dozen. Football season starts before basketball season.
I wonder if this is just a college basketball problem in general. You can't wait until the last minute to commit and leave all the other coaching staffs to hang out to dry with no time for a a plan B.

Good to see we are all in here.

This is unfortunate but not the end of the world. On to the next one.

Let's get him!

I expect a commitment soon
We need to have this staff recruit for the basketball team.

Oh hey look who it is.
Quick question, why do you only pop up only when it is something against IU?
You never post in any other threads but those.
When there is good news on this year's class, I will post accordingly.
I'm IU all the way in basketball. Maybe that's why I'm so depressed.....

...or Kentucky.
Or Michigan State.
These kids want to go to good programs. We haven't had one in over a quarter century.

I was told it's still early. Of course, I was told that last year as well.

Not getting my hopes up at all on this kid. I think North Carolina is a done deal. Calling it now. Can go ahead and kiss this one goodbye as well.
I'm shocked.

I mean you go after +/- 30 kids every year. You're not going to land them all
No but every year have a parade of players come through saying awesome indiana is and they end up saying thanks but no thanks.

Same old story

Brad Stevens would rather not coach than coach Indiana?

You have to score goals. You can't expect to win every game 1-0.

Who will be favored on Monday?

I've heard he's up to 6'10" now and may be still growing.
Anybody else hearing this?

So with Bates added, does that give us one more spot for next year now?

I don't know about that. If the One and Done is going away, wouldn't that mean the top 5 to 10 each year is going Pro or D League?
Unless WWW starts helping, I don't see Woody getting us in the same realm of Cal and K.
It's not going away apparently. The NBA simply bought time and let the whole adidas scandal cool off some.
Now they are saying the union won't allow the NBA access to high school kids medical records.

That kind of rubs me the wrong way. I think he is going to be a heck of a player, but if I'm Woodson, you got another week man. And by the way, until you are committed, I am going to be looking to recruit over you. If another guy comes in and we are out of spaces, best of luck young man.
I have a bigger problem with Geronimo's mom wanting him to transfer and be closer to home.

I admit to initially being disappointed that our new coach wasn't going to be Brad Stevens. I know, I know, I hung on to that dream too long. I processed it during a drive on I-69, and then the more I thought about it, the more I was like, "Heck, yeah! Mike Woodson!"
My basketball knowledge is limited to watching games, Don Fischer, instruction from Coach Knight on his shows, all of you talking about the plays, etc., so I'm not a great person to ask if he'll succeed.
So he hasn't coached in college, but he has in the NBA, with many different players and personalities and media; well-liked by any and all who know him, from what I can tell; terrific player back in the day; Thad Matta is a major addition - honestly goosebumps that he's in the cream and crimson now - because something that Butler was doing at that time and at least 2-3 coaches later was RIGHT and why not bring that here; and WOW THE ROLODEX. Larry Brown?? WOW WOW WOW. The guy is a basketball genius, and I loved him when he coached the Pacers.
I have big hopes, and I think this is going to turn out to be a great hire. I am ALL IN! Let's go, Hoosiers!!
The guys on the assembly call seem pretty down on it. Except for that guy with the cigar and he looked pretty hammered, honestly.

It's hard for me to pull for this team due to the NBA supporting the Chinese Communist Government and bad mouthing our own country. Even the coaching staff. Trying to get people fired for even criticizing China makes it even worse.
Still, I'll do my best to pull for them.
