  1. My eyes! My eyes! I can’t believe my eyes!
  2. How many more WIDE open shots can we give them??? I’m not sure if they can come back this afternoon. Getting lost on D. Can’t hit bunnies. Can’t break the zone.
  3. He’s the ONLY one doing anything positive
  4. Clark making a good point about TJD. He doesn’t like playing against people bigger than him and that’s all the NBA has. Wouldn’t be surprised to see him back next year….and he’s more than welcome to return.
  5. Defense was lost too many times, completely missing wide open guys on the perimeter. No wonder it looks like we’re playing on skates.
  6. When the retro uniforms were current
  7. I gotta ask. What’s the deal with the cough drops?
  8. I’d also like it if we could figure out a zone.
  9. Are they going to start missing any shots?
  10. TJD just not looking good. Michigan wants it more right now. They are playing with urgency. We are not.
  11. Agree. I think it’s more a ‘defining’ game in the eyes of fans who are understandably impatient. Are we going to get over that hump or are we the same team that can beat MSU at home and then out flat the next week. The next 3 games, which are all very winnable, will be defining.
  12. I’m hoping they complete the uniform with the striped socks.
  13. I guess that I'm not dismissing the importance of an inside game, just the time and energy spent on trying to get the ball to TJD most of the time we are running a half court offense. I'm not a coach so I'm honestly talking out of my butt, but if we run plays for our guards and wings with an option (shoot or reverse the ball) it would open passing lanes to the inside with less effort. It just seems that since Archie was here we've always been forcing it and it disrupts our offensive flow. Of course, we need the players to do this....and it looks like that is whom Woody is recruiting.
  14. This is one of the more controversial strategies for sure. I really think it comes down to what a coach feels in his gut at that particular moment. I wouldn't be lying if I said I was nervous about that decision with Ivey on the floor. I will say that when we are down 3 I'm hoping the opponent doesn't foul us because I like our chances of hitting the 3 over getting a rebound on a missed free throw.
  15. I was just getting ready to post a similar reply. I'll preface this with: this is just an observation. I am in no way advocating the TJD not be in the line up or hurts this team. That said, back to our last dominant big, Juwan Morgan, it seems like this team loses itself with the inside/outside game. They get caught waiting for their All Big Ten big man to do something, rather than moving the ball and setting up a 'plan B'. I really hope the lesson taken from this game is that the guards have the ability to take over a game. Now lets do it with TJD on the floor. He can still be the first option, but they need to move with purpose and create for other players (and themselves) once the ball goes into Trayce or if he's not open. All that said, and generally speaking, does an inside/outside game disrupt the flow of an offense in today's game? Yes, there are teams (Purdue) who play this way successfully, but history has shown that it hasn't worked for us all that well. Again, I know this is just one game. I'm just thinking out loud.
  16. Just taking it all in still.... Woody's coaching at the end of the game was spectacular on many levels.... -First, he draws up a play for Rob and Rob gets a great shot. More than the X's and O's it showed Rob the head coach has confidence in him at the most important moment in the season. -The shot doesn't go in and we get the rebound. Immediately calls another timeout. (This is why you save your timeouts). He then draws ANOTHER play for Rob, which says: "you didn't hit the first one, but I still believe in you." Rob drains the 3. -And then the choice not to foul not to PU while 3 up ended up paying off. Even if Rob's shot didn't go in I'd be praising it. You have to put the ball in Rob's hands in that situation given his history and his performance in the game. Not only did that decision pay off in the moment, I really do hope it will pay off with the development of Rob's confidence. I'm not sure if I'm happier for the win or happier for Rob.
  17. My assistant coach said she prefers them over her Lululemon's....if that endorsement means anything to you.
  18. I just got these cheap joggers on Amazon and they are the best. Now that I have them I'm noticing that a lot of people have them. They're called G Gradual and are only $30. They fit is great, they hide the junk (and don't over heat it...haha) and they have a nice stretch to them so that ankle cuff doesn't ride up when you sit down. I swear I should be on their payroll for as many time as I've recommended them.
  19. Tricky-tack or non existent? I can’t believe the ref called that with just over one second left - that call decided the game! 🤦‍♂️ And then I can’t believe that after that Iowa got a clean inbounds pass to Keegan Murray who got a clean shot right at the 3 point line. I’m not sure if it was a great play that was drawn up, but how does Rutgers even let him sniff the ball. They’re lucky that didn’t go in.
  20. I welcome all respectful PU posters; no need to be a ‘bubble board’. @Stlboiler23 always stays ‘in bounds’ and gives a good outsider perspective. I especially like if they complain about being called little brother because that’s exactly the type of thing a little brother would get upset about. It just reconfirms that belief so we can all feel better about ourselves. 😎
  21. My Theragun is a life saver. That is exactly what I do. Tight hips are the worst.
  22. Agree although I do enjoy Hummel.
