Basketball is a weird thing.  How it sailed over my head that Armaan Franklin left school, went undrafted, and is listed on wiki as a g league player but I find no record of him.  Can we just say choices?  Voices?  Be careful who you surround yourself with folks.  Walked away from an amazing degree at a really good school that was probably dropping a solid nil deal for the guy.  What are you doing bro?

"Choices? Voices?"   Think about what Oladipo walked away from with what the Pacers offered him with an extension?  He lost tens of millions.

  2. I don't think Ware and MR can be on the floor at the same time.  Everything is clogged and IU isn't a 3 point shooting team (year after year).  Seems to be a liability on defense too.  Problem is that they are two of your best players.  I would love to see MM play the 4 spot and increase the tempo on offense and defense.  Sparks looked okay but again he's strictly a back to the basket guy.

Be interesting to see what changes Woody does for the next game.  The first two games clearly isn't a successful blueprint.   Also, Florida Gulf Coast squeaked by Ave Maria Friday night.  YIKES!

I don't know. He isn't tall enough to play a stretch 4. He isn't athletic enough to be a 3. If he's going to make the NBA, he needs to be really good at basketball on both ends of the floor. I actually thought his on ball defense was good that first game, so maybe he will be really good, but he has a long way to go. He doesn't have the high ceiling that will get him drafted if he's only pretty good at basketball.

IMO... MR isn't nearly athletic enough to play in the NBA.  I don't think it's really that close either.  I hope he has a great year and career at IU.

I never said teams won't do this but for me I don't care for the practice. Like I have said our football team has been in the other side losing recruits on signing day.

Put it this way if you meet a women at work and you really have an attraction to her but you find out she is engaged.  Do you still pursue her because she doesn't have the wedding ring in her figure yet.  To me going after engaged women isn't the best thing to do especially for your health.

Basketball competition being compared to infidelity???

Respectively, I didn't understand the big deal the entire time.

We aren't their coach, we aren't their parents... we are fans of the basketball team they play for. Nothing more.

Exactly!   I turn the game on a couple times a week for a few hours to be entertained from the sometimes day to day grind of life.  I want to see an entertaining product.   I have no moral or ethical obligation or interest in how other people decided to handle their personal business/life.   Sports are entertainment.  CMW and all players and coaches are in the entertainment business.

I think cursing/being belligerent and refusing to leave is bad.

I think coming back (even if to an adjacent parking lot) was bad.

Maybe the cops overreacted when punching out his window but I'm not sure what story doesn't also have Mgbako in the wrong given he was told to leave and shouldn't have still been there to get his window smashed.

Sure we don't 100% know given the report/news could be inaccurate, which is why I said based on what we know.  I guess I should have said based on what was reported.

And he'll be fined and be punished via the legal system.  Now... let's go win some ball games.

The only incident I can remember that involved another Big 10 school/player that would equate to this was when Trevion Williams supposedly pushed a female McDonald's supervisor to the ground over a french fry order that was cancelled...And I don't' think all that much was said on here about it...I'm pretty sure Painter didn't take any disciplinary action and rightly so...

And trying to equate this with DUI, or even X's reckless driving rap is way off base to me...

I have a buddy who goes to an alumni/booster type dinner that Painter has 4-5 times a year during the season.  Someone asked Painter if the punishments are the same for discipline issue regardless of who the player is.  Long story short he said no.  A walk on gets no slack.  A kid who can put the ball in basket gets a much longer leash.  He actually started the response with " Do I look stupid?"

Begs the question, is Woody soft? Or did Mack get painted in an unfair light publicly?

Remember back when the biggest issue facing a presidential candidate's character was that he didn't serve in the military or whether he inhaled or not?    The world has changed for better or worse.   Seems like winning it what's really important to many.

No I don't think he's being too soft.  It's trespassing.   A victimless crime.  Kline passed out at the wheel.  Gillis blew well over twice the legal limit.  Those two things are dangerous to innocent people. To be fair X speeding to me is a bigger issue, but in the end it was a traffic violation if I'm not mistaken.

Not sure, but Dakich has been absolutely crushing IU the last several weeks.

He hammered the McNeely commitment, the Fland recruitment, has been crushing Mgbako and calling out Woodson over all of the aforementioned and still even this week calling Woodson a liar over the Dane Fife situation.

The guy is a complete clown.

    Dakich is still alive???????

All those teams you named, sans Michigan are overrated to, though. Terrible examples.

3-5 vs T25 over 3 years is awful, tbh. Both in the # of games played and their record.

I'm 74 years old.  In my lifespan's sample of watching college football and based on the record books of college football Notre Dame is one of the top college football programs of all time.   I personally like IU football, but I don't think ND is  the most overrated program ever.  That's all my original point was.

    🤣

Yep. "Opinions" are why ND is overrated.

They're 2-22 against Top 5 teams since 1999 and most of those games have been trashings.

So we're going to take this back 24 years to find data that supports your opinion.  Well if we go back 3 years they are 3-5 vs. top 25.  If we go back 35 years they are....   We go back 45 years they are ....   If we go back 100 years they are....

I bet if we look at Michigan's, Miami's, FSU we could play this game too.   You don't like ND I get it.  They are a love them or hate them kind of program.

The ACC is a JV conference though, and during that span they've only played Clemson once.... and once Clemson got full strength that season, ND didnt even belong on the field with them in the conference championship.

Okay... you win.  They're the most overrated team in America.  What was I thinking.

They are independent in football aren’t they? They don’t play a ton of ACC teams right?

I don't know.  Don't really pay attention, but I'm guessing 5 a year.  None the less  they've beaten 28 power 5 teams in the ACC in a row.  Just saying that's strong evidence against them being the most overrated team in America.

Maybe the single most overrated FB team in America OR a basketball blue blood on the return to glory.

    there…fixed it 💪🏻😎

Now the ACC isn't a great football conference, but that most overrated team in America has won 28 in a row vs. ACC teams during the regular season.
