My guess is Kansas.  And the only reason over NIL and Playing time is Kansas is more likely to make the final 4 or win a national championship.  Based on the last say 20 years.  Other than that, we have a great coaching staff, decent facilities and top of the line NIL.

If IU is equal or better in the NIL game they'll get him.  The end game is to be a lottery pick $$$$ not get to a Final 4 to appease a fanbase.  He'll be featured in IU's offense and he'll get more shots and playing time.  TJD and JHS being first rounders is a big deal.

Totally agree on Ya being a quality guy.  I enjoy what he conveys in interviews.  Players complement him on how much he’s helped them, especially guards.  He’s known as a good teacher with things like shooting.  He has humility and relates well with players.

It really ticks me off when Dakich takes shots at Coach Ya sarcastically.  There’s no reason for it.   He’s an asset to the program.

Who's Dakich?  He the guy who can't shut his mouth and gets ran out of everywhere he's been?

I don’t know how you mods do it. Between the Petino jokes, the old men yelling get off my lawn, and the young guns trying to piece social media follows together like they are tracking a serial killer…I don’t know how your head doesn’t explode. I couldn’t follow this thread 24/7 if my life depended on it. I come back every few days and it’s the same ol stuff being argued just new recruits names being circulated lol.

Ditto.   Lots of wasted time arguing about absolutely nothing.  To each their own I suppose.

He is just saying from a who do you guard (Knecht is not quick) and that they are different enough to play same time.

IMO... it seems like 4 guys that are athletic and can put the ball in the basket by any means surrounded by a rim protector is the golden ticket.   It's at least a good starting point.  Length, high percent 3 shooting is when you start getting into being really good.

You have to admit that Purdue defines what a "Chancre School" is...😄

They have had two of their best seasons in the programs history the last two years (going by total wins and rankings).  Winning keeps people and teams together.   They'll be like everyone else wants the this current momentum comes to an end..... and it will.

Actually most journalists are not making a very good living and switch jobs every few years. It's not a great field to get into these days nor has it been for like 10 years. Just because a lot of people do it, doesn't mean they are making any bread.

Sure.  I guess what is defined as journalism is the question.  In today's internet world anyone can be a "journalist".   Now doing research by gathering first hand accounts and allowing the public to infer the facts is a different story.   That is sorely lacking and is a major problem with all the information flying at people today compared to the past.

Would you doubt it if Rabjohns had a similar update for an IU commitment?

Neubert is a great journalist who doesn’t pull people’s legs. Quite the opposite actually.

I don't know Rabjohns, so yes I would be saying the same thing.   Unless I get information from the source (kid, parents, etc.) I assume it's no more than a tiny bit of facts smothered in a whole bunch of speculation.  Mostly for the sole purpose of getting clicks.  I've heard that you can make a good living doing this stuff in today's journalism/news practice.  However, like everyone else on here I do enjoy the entertainment factor and drama that boards like this bring during my normal boring work day.   BTW... I've read many of your posts recently.  I respect your opinions, insights, and temperament.   You're not too bad for a Boiler.   :)

From the Purdue board regarding Kanon:

Last week, Catchings indicated to Purdue that he intended to re-open his recruitment. He did so suddenly and by himself outside of his family and coaches knowledge. It did not go over well with his family and coaches, who have been strongly in purdues corner, and remain so to this day. Since then, conversations between Purdue and the player and the family have been normal. Purdue will have an in-home visit with him Friday. Catchings is a very introverted kid. He’s starting to come out of his shell a little bit.l and does have a bit of an edge to him. He just returned from USA basketball crawling with NBA people, agents and shoe company people. He knocked everyone’s socks off there, per reports. As soon as his ranking spiked people, all kinds of people, were there hounding him….getting in his head. That’s the deal: people Chase the ranking when you have it. There’s nothing illegal about other schools contacting Catchings, but the family appreciates the fact that Painter believed in him early and nobody else did. Catching himself was pissed that nobody else offered him. Including Indiana.

BS!  No way this "insider" knows this much detail.   The kid may or may not go to Purdue.  Seems like there is probably some type of smoke, but to go into this much drama is an internet hero pulling people's leg.   It's is entertaining though.  Like a sports person's version of "Days of Our Lives".

I agree…I haven’t seen it posted but I could almost seeing is go XJ, JHS, Bates, Thompson, TJD

IMO... Race and TJD are the same type of player with TJD being the better version of course.  JG's ability to get up and down the floor, guard different positions, and hopefully improvement in shooting and driving make him an ideal 4.
