  1. Stat of the Day: Chris Beard is 2-0 vs. Purdue in the NCAA Tournament, and Beard’s team was the lower (worse) seed both times.
  2. If Sean Miller thought he could still recruit with Kentucky without his bag man, why didn’t he take the South Carolina job?
  3. I hope you counted his 3 wins as the coach, since he was so magnificent.
  4. I would add 1979-80…IU was pre-season #1 but Randy Wittman and Mike Woodson went down. Wittman never returned and Woodson did but wasn’t 100%. Every player on that team will tell you that when healthy, the 1979-80 team was better than the team that won the national championship the next year.
  5. Fellas, at least we didn't lose to Saint Peter's.
  6. Agree with this. I know people have criticized Woodson's offense, but we haven't really seen his offense. There's really nothing to put in for a team full of players who can't shoot. 21 wins was a minor miracle, IMO.
  7. After being around some Iowa fans last Saturday, can’t say I’m upset they lost. Mouthiest little fan base in the country, IMO.
  8. Jackson transferred because his mother was named Northrop’s girls coach. Also, two other players (both seniors) quit towards the end of this current season, under the current coach. I have several contacts there, including two people who live under my roof, but I have no idea what’s going on there. I just know that program has a long, long journey to get back to where they were.
  9. If you’d have told me at the beginning of the season that by game 30 Xavier and Race would be our most reliable 3-point shooters, I certainly wouldn’t have expected a tournament bid.
  10. Lol, Sean seems a lot more pissed than Archie that IU fired him.
  11. The team that live and die with the 3 always hit them against us, lol.
  12. Been looking at the numbers and bracket projections, and I find it interesting that most have Michigan (17-14) in the tournament but Oklahoma (18-15) out. The resumes look really, really similar. Also looking forward to seeing what they do with Rutgers, and why. My opinion is they’re not close enough to the cut line in the metrics to ignore the bad losses and put them in.
  13. I was there. The whistle wasn't fair, whether you're talking about inside, on the perimeter, or away from the ball.
  14. No, I expect a fair whistle all over the floor, regardless of where the shots are taken. In other words, a foul on one end should be called a foul on the other end. There is a lot of action in a basketball game that happens in addition to shots.
  15. I was at the game, and I can assure you we had to play through a hell of a lot more contact than Iowa did.
  16. I think people may need to count to 10 before they post. Slowly. lol
  17. I’d bet money you posted the same thing last year at this time.
  18. Sounds a lot like the Denver media thinking the Broncos were getting Aaron Rodgers, lol.
  19. Don’t know anything about Cincinnati, but PFW is absolutely horrible.
  20. They took seeds 1-7 except for us at 4. And yes, our record was worse but we played a killer schedule and had none of the types of bad home losses that Rutgers had pre- conference. Again, I agree with you, but there is precedent for skipping over a team and taking the next several.
  21. While I agree with you, it happened to us in Mike Davis’ next-to-last year.
  22. Appreciate the support. Your Boiler ladies program has really slipped badly. Maybe the new coach can get them back to respectability.
  23. Maybe they need to actually physically separate themselves from the program. As it is, they're cluttering up adult boards to anonymously cry like babies.
