5fouls
This one hits hard for me. My mom had gotten sick in in August 2020 and required someone to stay with her 24 hours a day until she passed in March of this year. Another family member stayed with her during the week, but I stayed on the weekends. She loved the Golden Girls, and there was a Golden Girls marathon on one of the stations every Sunday morning. So, instead of watching football pre-game shows and the like, I was watching episode after episode of Golden Girls with my mom. In those 6 months where I was with mom on the weekend, we probably saw the same episodes 3-4 times. We celebrated Betty's 99th birthday in January. Was really hoping Betty would get to 100 and beyond.
bluegrassIU
Surprised this does not have more chatter. Betty White was a legend. America's sweetheart. I always loved her spirit. RIP Betty White.

Lostin76
I was just asking my wife what living celebrity was more beloved than Betty White. We couldn’t think of anyone beyond Dolly Parton. What an amazing person to live to 99 and be loved by pretty much everyone. And she served in WWII! RIP to a great, great lady.

Steubenhoosier
She was so talented. Between this role and the character she played on Golden Girls, she always made me laugh. RIP Betty. You’ll have them rolling up in heaven

Proud2BAHoosier
Here's a piece of sports trivia..... As you know, I'm a big Yankees fan, and believe it or not, but Betty White has been alive for every one of the Yankees World Series, going back to 1923 when they won their first one!
